The Z35 will still be a "Fairlady Z" in Japan, all other markets the Z35 will be called "Nissan Z"

MSRP: $34,995 (this is for the base with 0 options)
There will be 2 packages
- Base: 0 options.
- Type S: Brembos, thicker sways, coolers, other stuff.
- Type T: Leather, Power Seats, Heated and Cooled, Auto cruise, blind spot, etc
- Type ST: Both S and T Packages
- Each package will be roughly 5k each, ST will set you back 10k

Base gets Akebonos, Sport or Nismo get the Brembos - No more floating calipers.

All cars get...
- The 400hp Flavor of VR30DDTT
- The Digital Dash
- Android Auto / Car Play
- Rear Duckbill

Dry Weight = 3,252lbs

The Auto we're seeing on the Gunmetal and Silver cars is the Mercedes-Benz 9G-Tronic, no more 7 speed.
- Yes, it's still a torque converter Auto
- No, it's not as nice as the ZF8 (based on what I can find online, I've never driven anything with this transmission personally)
- It's better than the Jatco 7spd we all know now
- This transmission is already in the Titan and it will soon be in every Nissan / Infiniti RWD vehicle (including the Qs)

Yes, this car really is a 370Z with a Body Kit and a VR30 Swap and the chassis was massaged.......heavily (more aluminum, more bracing, carbon fiber)
- "370Z Sport" is the new "Base" (thicker sways, wider forged wheels, etc)
- "370Z Nismo" is the new "Sport" (even wider wheels, thicker sways, bracing)
- There is a Nismo version coming....it won't just be a body kit, exhaust, tune and some badges this time

The 6 spd manual is a carryover from the 370Z

There are 3 USDM Production cars in the US for a Dealer's Meeting and for journalist afterwards to review.

White 2 Tone: Stick, Sport, no pics have leaked (yet)
Silver 2 Tone: Auto, Touring
Gunmetal: Auto, Base

There is not a roadster in the cards right now, sorry folks.
Nissan is gunning for the Supra and the Mustang but it's main target is the Supra - make no mistake.
I don't have Nismo Info other than "Brembos" and "Baby GT-R"

If that's production representative; I'm totally in for a test drive. The new Z may end up saving me $$$ the same way the 370Z did when it was going up against a used P-Car...

I would love to see the Sport version with the Brembos. It looks way better with the 6 pistons. Also I don’t want all black wheels.

The big question for me is that if they would fix the CSC problem on the Manual trans because it seems like they use the same trans of the 370z. How good is the new 9 speed AT?

I just sold my 370z recently and was looking at the C63 AMG. If the new Z is around $43k for the sport version, or $50k for the Nismo, I’ll definitely get one.

Wow! 35k plus a nice upgrade packed for $5k wow wow wow! I was not expecting that cheap honestly. If this is true Nissan knocked it out if the park. I wont be picking up one straight away because I just got my 370z but in a year or two yeah I definitely can see myself getting one for that price. Idk might just add a turbo to my car. But I am very excited about the prices if the leaks are true it's going to be a home run! Good job Nissan! I'm happy that this looks like it might just be successful and keep Nissan afloat.

i would take all that info with a massive grain of salt.

nissan hasn't come out with any actual info since the proto reveal last September.

they have not made 1 update since then, they have not given an actual release window, they haven't given any specs, etc...

they havent even actually confirmed that the VR30 (which we all know it has) will be the powerplant.

in my opinion nissan is failing majorly with this car. if they want it to sell they should be pushing updates and marketing to drive up sales. otherwise, this car will flop aside from the small group of Z people like us that will buy one.

Which is why I put if true in my comment. Honestly though sometimes leaks do more to drive hype than a straight press release. What will give you more articles and clicks no info or leaks for a year and then one press conference with everything. Or multiple small leaks over the course of a year gauging people's reaction, building hype, and getting free press? C'mon leaving the hood up on the car for people to see wasn't a mistake it was a calculated move. Not having the car shipped fully wrapped up was also a calculated move they wouldn't be dumb enough to ship it in a open shipping container with zero protection. Look at how the C8 was shipped it was wrapped fully in plastic that they could tell if it was tampered with.

Read this article how Apple purposefully leaks information for hype

Don’t worry, it’s not. Nissan always lists DRY weight, which is meaningless but obviously makes them look better.

Unless the z35 has some amazing new jdm tech that allows it to run with no oil, no coolant, no brake fluid, no gas, etc, that number is meaningless

WET weight is what matters, the car, with full fluids. Add 100 lbs at least to that 3252 # and that’ll be where it really lands.

Our old ‘13 nismo iirc had a listed DRY weight of 3300 lbs. it’s actual WET weight was just over 3400 lbs.

With all the new safety tech etc that adds so much weight and the fact this is a heavily revised 370 fm platform, which itself was a revised 350z fm platform, a real weight of around 3350 lbs is very good. To go lighter you really need a bespoke chassis like caymans and 911s, or vette etc. that would make this car 10-20k more right out the gate and would kill sales.

I feel a $35k new car price will drive my 370Z Nismo price waaaay down. Could sell my car now for around $30k+. $5k more for a new car .... I have a feeling my car will drop to around $27’ish K.

I predict the 300Z Twin Turbo (400Z) will sell more than the 370Z.
I predict you are dead wrong, at least in the U.S. market. The 370Z didn't sell well in the U.S. for many reasons (none of which are for the reasons you mention). The new Z will sell worse than the 370Z, mark my words. Not just because the car isn't spectacular (its not), but because the current market just doesn't support such a car well.

Quote:
I also considered the 370Z as somewhat ugly....There isn't anything wrong with the Z34 chassis (to me, IMO). It was ugly...now it is way less ugly....
Well as we know, aesthetics are purely in the eye of the beholder. I have always considered the 370Z as what a modern FWD poor mans Porsche would look like, and I say even after 12 years it still looks modern, fresh, and spectacular. This new Z, at least from pictures, looks like an attempt to take the front of a 240Z, a rear end of a 300ZX, and make it look like a poor mans Jag / Aston. I think they did a decent job at it. But in pictures it looks boring as hell. Not ugly, just boring. I'll hold final judgement until I see it in person. But for you to find the 370Z ugly and this car amazing enough to buy cracks me up. You must not like Porsches.

Quote:
The power, if 400HP+, will be outstanding,
Well for the U.S. market, in the current HP wars market, it will be considered WAY lacking, one of the reasons this new car won't sell well at all.

Quote:
The interior is WAYYYYY better than the 370Z (I do agree with you on the instrument cluster, I too would prefer real gauges over LCD) and the car is really very basic for a 2022 vehicle. It still has a hand brake, even with the auto. I think even the CTR has an EPB.
WAYYYY better? What kind of weed are you smoking? It's merely an update on what was already a nice interior. They added new tech, and something had to give. WAYYYY better? Yet from what we have seen in pics, the door interiors are exactly the same, the center arm rest is basically the same, the 3 gauge cluster is basically the same, and so are the climate controls. You say its WAYYYY better, yet you would prefer an analog instrument cluster (as do I, hence why I like the 370 more than the new Z cluster). The 370Z has been a great interior since the beginning. Lacking modern gizmos doesn't change that. The new interior isn't WAYYYY better, its just slightly different to accommodate modern tech. People like you will be trashing this interior in 5 years just because it's missing some new tech or they haven't added some bright yellow stitching. I say a big whatever.

While you will be rushing out to buy the new Z, I think many people like me will not. I find it hard to believe a large number of current 370Z owners would switch just to switch. 350 to 370, for sure. 370 to (400), not so much. I think the largest contingent of buyers will be people like you, who skipped the 370, haven't had one for a while, or are all new to the market.

Of course, all just my opinion, as was your post.

Perhaps you need to look in the mirror? If anyone's post was pissy and salty it was yours. Definitely trollish on what is a 370Z admirers forum.

Has there ever been such a thing as an "UGLY" Z car? I don't think so.

Get real.

This is the "400Z" subforum.....I think those of us who are particularly attracted to the new Z can openly share our opinions of the Z34, as it relates to the Z35??

Did I go into general Z34 forums and bash the Z34? NO.

If you stated your opinion that any of my vehicles are ugly, I would care less.

I stated an opinion on the appearance of the 370Z, you made an accusation of someone being on drugs for having an opinion.

I think most people here don't mind one user saying the 370Z is ugly...not a big deal...just one person's opinion. Is there a rule that people can only say positive thing's about the subject of a forum?

We can disagree with others without resorting to accusations of drug use. I can see you take it very personally when someone calls your car ugly! Must suck to be so wrapped up in what others think of your car.
