Base MSRP will be $34,999

Base gets Akebonos, Sport/Nismo gets Brembos - No more floating calipers.

All cars get the 400hp Flavor of VR30

US Name = Nissan Z, no numbers this time

Dry Weight = 3,252lbs

Tech wise we're pretty damned outdated as well - Case in point....To this day we still need the Nav Package to stream BT Audio while the current Altima can stream it with no problem, without nav....My Wife's '15 Sonata Limited is mind blowing. The car damned near drives itself and it starts at 20k is about 30k fully dolled up like hers is.

Also, Hyundai BlueLink is BAD. ***. I really hope Nissan steps it's game up and adds something like this to it's lineup.

Power wise if we don't have 400+ HP, We're a failure - No questions asked....the V8s are kissing 450hp out the box nowadays.

IMO the 370Z was damned near perfect, it just needed more power.
Looks like I got what I asked for 6 years ago lol

also, i like the little lip spoiler actually makes the rear look better than without one.

i noticed it doesnt have GTR brakes on this model. makes me wonder if they were for show or a special higher trim level like the Nismo.

steering wheel looks really weird like the top half is way to large of an opening.
And the badges are just the Nissan emblem and Z logo. I think the new Z will just be called "Z".

The spoiler is a nice addition for sure.

I thought the steering wheel looked a bit big as well. Honestly I was hoping they'd make it more squared.

I'm thinking 350~375hp for the base and the price will be right under 40k like $39,995 the sport .model will get a hp increase to ~400hp with gtr brakes and other stuff for $43k~ Nismo version will be 450hp for right under $50k but that's just my guess.
If this is a lower trim car sign me up. I don't think any trim will be under 400hp though. The new Supra has 382hp. This car needs that 400hp as a big selling point and just as an extra middle finger to Toyota. For a 400HP car the Akebonos are still plenty sufficient. Honestly, I think the GTR brakes would be overkill unless you're modding to get massive power.

The Supra has two different engines now-
2.0 liter four-cylinder turbo- 255 hp and 295 lb-ft
3.0 liter inline six-cylinder turbo- 382 hp and 365 lb-ft

I can easily see Nissan offering the Z with the same engine selection as the Q50/Q60 have- with the 300 hp and 400 hp versions of the 3.0L V6 twin turbo, but with slightly higher power levels on each. The base will not be lower than the existing 370Z's 332 hp. Expect around 340 hp for the base. The 400 hp version will probably be around 420 hp. I'm hearing 475 hp for the Nismo with all-wheel drive. Essentially a baby GT-R- when the GT-R was released in 2009, it was 480 hp with all-wheel drive (it's up to 565 hp now).

May not necessarily be the case, when the base VR engine replaced the VQ engine in the Q50 for the 16 model year the base 300hp VR was rated with 28 less hp than its 328hp VQ predecessor.

There's no way it can be that light in weight.

Don’t worry, it’s not. Nissan always lists DRY weight, which is meaningless but obviously makes them look better.

Unless the z35 has some amazing new jdm tech that allows it to run with no oil, no coolant, no brake fluid, no gas, etc, that number is meaningless

WET weight is what matters, the car, with full fluids. Add 100 lbs at least to that 3252 # and that’ll be where it really lands.

Our old ‘13 nismo iirc had a listed DRY weight of 3300 lbs. it’s actual WET weight was just over 3400 lbs.

With all the new safety tech etc that adds so much weight and the fact this is a heavily revised 370 fm platform, which itself was a revised 350z fm platform, a real weight of around 3350 lbs is very good. To go lighter you really need a bespoke chassis like caymans and 911s, or vette etc. that would make this car 10-20k more right out the gate and would kill sales.
