Of course that rendering looks worse. There's NO chance Nissan would do that paint selection at all. The grill will look similar to the proto, and the piece you see

Of course that rendering looks worse. There's NO chance Nissan would do that paint selection at all. The grill will look similar to the proto, and the piece you see in that patent image is probably related to aero/cooling not design.
