Nismo will be another teaser.
Umm, that's the way it works with every other car as well. Release brand new design in year one, improve and correct faults in subsequent model years.

You want perfection; wait until the final model year to buy.

I have a good friend who's dad has stuck to that principle on nearly every vehicle he's ever bought. He waits until the final year of production for a car or truck, just before the new model is about to be released, and then he buys the final model year for the outgoing model, with all the options and bells and whistles. Seems to have served him quite well over the years, and all of his vehicles are always in tip-top shape.

Or get the 2012 370Z like I did. :>)

Same great looks of the original 2009, but with all the bugs fixed. After 2012 is an aesthetic mixed bag for my tastes.

I got a 2013 because I like the daytime running lights and the updated Rays wheels!

A lot of people hated the original "fangs" up front so they are with you I'll bet.

I too like the running lights, and I got a 2019 in white and I was shocked how much I like the slightly blackened lights. It made me happy with black wheels which I normally don't like. It's a nice black and white motif.

Looking back through this thread now, I realize I might like the matching roof MUCH more on the new Z. Hope it comes in other colors beyond the 3 mentioned.

I think the Millennium Jade looks great! It'll, likely, be a few years before I can get into the new Z so I'm hoping that it'll trickle down in the next couple model years!

Im not sure where they are getting "midnight purple" from. That isnt even close. Its more like a "Teal Tuesday" or something.

Nissan had me at white and black but these are still nice.

I'd prefer the basic color without the black top...

Got to see the blue one today, and in the wider angle of 1st person view, it looked really good. Promo pictures don't really represent how properly planted it sits and stretches out.

I can't say my picture does it better justice. It's so.....car, in the sense as we once understood it. Yeah, sure. Have at it with magazine stat wars and pretend armchair engineer social media comment threads. If people as a result don't like it or pretend they have a reason to call it disappointing, I'd be happy to find I'll have a better chance of getting my hands on one.

I'd really want one, just because it is what it is.
