LA was where the 370Z debuted, so if there's any hope for a next gen Z, it will be the first week of December this year.

Another perplexing bit of information is nothing about a MY2018 GT-R. At all. Anywhere. The new model year GT-Rs have been released the summer before their respective calendar years every single year except this one. What's the deal?
The surprise may be the GTR with a new design and a $20,000 increase. Now jt will start where the track edition starts. $130,000 Cuz Nissan is delusional with every year that passes.

How about triple badge it. The "Heritage", The "10th" and the "Last Z".

I will be thinking hard about which car I should take pride in for the near future. I might decide to supercharge the Z or ditch it altogether for a Corvette Stingray, Camaro SS, or the refreshed 2018+ Mustang GT.

What bothers me the most about this issue is the lack of passion and action on Nissan's part while other manufacturers like Chevrolet have been coming up with winners and killer products over and over again. While the C7 Z06 has overheating problems, Stingray and Grand Sport have been impressive. Corvettes have been getting more and more reliable with each passing generation.

Oh................and don't forget the unveiling of C7 ZR1 in Dubai. A supercar killer for a discount price.

Meanwhile, Nissan has been passive, conservative and boring all in one. While I understand that sports cars, especially 2-seaters, are not profitable, one has to think with a killer instinct. A car company has to decide to want to build a fan favorite car to be profitable with that sports car. If they keep thinking that it will never be profitable enough, then they won't have the killer instinct to build something great. They are, in effect, fulfilling their own prophecy of failure by thinking like a defeated person.

Subaru is now officially but temporarily killing the STI for Europe.
Seems like the competition for the Z is dying away.

Fun fact; Subaru even increased the price for the 2018 model, but also added some real improvements like LED headlights, upgrade to 19" inch wheels, bigger infotainment screen and bright yellow brake calipers for looks.

Juke or Rogue... maybe a new model. Doubt it’s a Z.
