I still don't think the new Z will be under 3,000 lbs. If it is. The price will be higher. Between chassis stiffness, safety regs. I don't know.

With the new 3.0tt engine and everything I could see it coming in at 3200-3350lbs

I hope not more but any less would be welcomed. The weight could easily drop with cf pieces but then that reflects on the price which I don't see them trying to raise too much to keep sales up.

I'm about to buy a new daily and wanted to know if I should hold off and wait for a the new Z or just take a current Nismo / track 370Z.

We may have to wait a full decade for a Z. 2008-2018 is the estimated life cycle of the current Z
