They found some left over 2004.5 motors and were able to get them into the new Maxima, takes it to a new level. Makes the car.....FLAWLESS.

I'm not really getting "jet fighter" from those interior pics. But I don't spend a lot of time in jet fighters, so maybe they look a lot like a regular old car interior?

What is taking Nissan so long to come out with the next Jen z?
Stang's and cameros already have been updated twice by the time the next z comes out 2 by 2...hands of blue

I was thinking about this last night and I actually don't recall seeing much about the 370Z (even the displacement was a mystery) until pretty close to the release.
I bought an HR 350Z in 2008 and I remember the Maxima was out and I remember the boomerang headlights but I do not recall having seen them on any sort of 370Z concept or anything. I'm sure someone can go back in time and find some artist rendering that was sort of close or whatever but as they say hindsight is 20/20. The only thing I really remember seeing was that test mule that was a cut-up 350Z with the typical black and white swirly vinyl wrap stuff and some rumors about a 200 lb weight loss. |

"The third engine, and here is where the surprise will be revealed with the 3.3 Twin Turbo engine. Our sources told us this model will come under “N performance” model program. Hyundai will be classifying their most powerful models under the “N performance” bracket in the years to come. We were also told this engine will be around 480 horsepower and 59kg of torque. When Hyundai Motor America’s CEO was interviewed a few days ago during the New York AutoShow he said: “This all-new engine would arrive on the Genesis sedan in 2017 or 2018 and have power in the ballpark of the company’s 420-hp, 5.0-liter Tau V-8 but weigh far less.” |

I like the new Maxima steering wheel.
The Z always follows the G (now Q) so I am expecting we'll hear something by end of the summer.

What I'm worried about is this "floating roof" design philosophy Nissan has borrowed from Kia adopted.
I'm terrified that the next gen Z will feature this, and it will be poorly executed to the point where it will look like a 2016 Maxima coupe, which is more likely in the context of the rumblings of bringing in iDX design styles in parts of the new Z design - that would lend more to a Maxima shape if you will. I hope it's not the case and they decide to go with something a little less "safe".
