I wanna come to your neck of the woods if you can buy a used Z34+mods and still have money for a down payment on a house, or find a used GT-R that hasn't been beat to sh!t for under 60k

All good. I cross-shopped both cars before I got the Z so I took it a little personal. A lot of posters on here think that car is the answer to everything.

That being said I think $60k defeats the purpose of an affordable sports car that the Z stands for. Maybe I could see it if they go with the rumoured 2 engine choices and you max out the more expensive one with all the bells and whistles. Still doesn't make much sense to me though.

It's compared a lot because it's close competition, close in price and 100 more hp but in a Mustang

I would never spend $60k on a Z, no matter how many bells and whistles it has. I'd rather take a Cayman S ($64k) with zero options than a loaded Z at $60k.

The bolded part is why I chose the Z.

I'd never purchase a brand new vehicle anyway. Don't see the point in driving off the lot and losing a couple grand in a matter of minutes. Used all day.

That's true. Like a 2015 Cayman S starting at 64k.

4 banger Z??? ridiculous... like i said before, retire the Z for 10 years and leave it a 6 cylinder which should be the only power plant. Revive the 240SX and make a hell of different versions, hybrid 4 banger, turbo and economy car. Reality is, people want a "Sporty Car" not a "Sports Car."

Nissan retired the Z after the 300ZX, why not now. Then come back with bang later on.

I could see a 240SX with a turbo 4cyl being popular if priced below the FRS/BRZ.

I think that Nissan doesn't want to make a super jump in HP as they do not want to be intrusive with GTR territory hurting GTR sales. At least give it more juice to be faster/cooler/better car than the current 5.0 Mustang.

Or maybe because by 2017 it's a 8 year old car (depreciation). I'll take a 55k GT-R with miles below 35k. I don't baby my Z but i assure you its in great condition all around. let's not just throw blasphemy around and say "every" low priced GT-R has been treated with abuse. Plus extended warranties are offered even on used cars.

If Nissan did what the Americans do (GT500,ZL1,Hellcat) id buy a 60K Z. Call it a Nismo RS with 600 HP, Warranty, yup sign me up.

Geez. Paid $28k for a 2015 base and my reasoning was that it was an exceptional value and fun to drive. $60k? I'd get a vette for less.

Oh gee... another dumb ******* report about the "next Z".

I'd repeat myself from the last three threads about this, but I'm busy.
