However, on the 29th January, Nissan UK tweeted a link to this article - New Nissan Z-car concept gearing up for Tokyo 2017 | Auto Express I don't think Nissan UK would link to fake news, unless of course they're employing Trump to update their twitter feed. |

$60K for next new Z35?
Sooooo if stock turbos are maxed.......change them out for more power.
Dot see the point of people whining about it. If you buy any car and want more power it costs money. Get over it lol |
It'd be a problem to swap them out if no replacement exists. Have you taken a look at how the turbos are packaged?
|
We are gathered here today to mourn in the loss of any hope of a Z35...thank you Nissan for fecking us, go ahead and drive your Titan through it now.
P.S. GFY. |
We're less than 3 years away from what will be the 50th Anniversary of the Z. I just sold my 40th Anni a few months ago to get something a bit bigger with a baby on the way(leased a 2017 Infiniti QX50). That lease will be up in Feb 2020. I already warned my wife that if a 50th Anni Z is announced, it's back to a sports car in 2020!

Yea super tight and built into the manifold. And yes nothing is built yet but it will be. |

Would probably be the best aftermarket product if you can use the existing setup but do a little work opening the turbos up and gain power. |

Soooooo the same thing people do to the VR38 every day? Lol |

Except that's a $100k+ vehicle, not a $50k vehicle. |

Yea that's true. Still the initial tech will always be a bit costly based on r & d costs. |

I missed or forgot that Nissan confirmed (or seems to have confirmed) a Z35 concept for this November.
Sounds reasonable to me, at this point. There's no official Supra to compare it to yet, but I imagine there will be in Nov. |
This could be the most epic Tokyo auto salon in a while. If of course Nissan and Toyota bring the Z and Supra out!
|
Would be sweet for a z supra shootout at 2017 Tokyo. If they do I'd consider swapping over.

Yes but the Supra will be real and the Z will be vaporware unless they've been running around with a test mule no one has seen or photographed. Kind of a tease but better than nothing, right?
|

Pretty sure the Q60 was only ever caught on camera after the prototype unveiled. Maybe Nissan is just that good at hiding stuff lol |
Well if the Supra ends up using the carbon fiber chassis that was originally discussed with BMW then the Z will have to step it up for sure as right there will be significant weight savings.

Can someone translate from the Japanese? From the cover of this week's edition of Best Car Magazine (the people who started the Tokyo Concept rumour). My Japanese is non existant, so I have no idea what this monstrosity's supposed to be, but it has a Nissan badge, I see the word 'Scoop' and I think I see FRZ in the japanese text somewhere? Help me please...

...but, back to the original question, can anyone translate the Japanese in the picture?

To me that seems like the proto for the Silvia not a Z
Sidenote it's not bad. Kinda has a merc gts kinda vibe |

Concepts leave so much to imagination when you think about a finished production model. I mean I like the mirrors on that concept, but part of the reason they look really clean on it is because they literally just stick out of the door panel paint lol. The reality of having to actually mount them could easily destroy the look and often does. |
The headline reads "Nissan Silvia grade FR sport born!?"
