I like the new Maxima steering wheel.
The Z always follows the G (now Q) so I am expecting we'll hear something by end of the summer. |

I believe the new Z35 will have this steering wheel. Some people like it and some people hate it. I personally thing that it looks awesome. |
What I'm worried about is this "floating roof" design philosophy Nissan has borrowed from Kia adopted.
I'm terrified that the next gen Z will feature this, and it will be poorly executed to the point where it will look like a 2016 Maxima coupe, which is more likely in the context of the rumblings of bringing in iDX design styles in parts of the new Z design - that would lend more to a Maxima shape if you will. I hope it's not the case and they decide to go with something a little less "safe". |
The floating roof can be a bit tacky for the next Z35. Definitely need to be great looking like the 350z and 370z.

Well we know that the Z35 not happening anywhere near 2016!

2017-18... it's a shame that hyundai is already talking numbers and nissan is just quiet.

2016 gen coupe and camaro both got me intrigued

Nissan better show something, I'm quickly losing my patience

They just announced the pricing of the 2016 model. So don't expect news of the Z35 really soon. The 370 was announced October 2008. So at best the Z35 could be announced in October at the tokyo show this year. However, to not kill the sales of the 16, it'll probably be announced sometime in 2016. Maybe sametime next year they leak tidbits about it at the NYIAS then have official release at Tokyo show but yeah, I hope sooner though.

Btw the Tokyo motor show runs on odd years |
Nissan is doing their customers dirty... Me, a 5 time Nissan new car owner, is disappointed with the scheduling of their cars and announcements. I know they want to tune their first year car properly against the next generation sports cars, i'm sure Nissan is intimidated by the alpha camaro, genesis coupe and possible retuned 2016 mustang. (Yes i think year one mustang owners will be mad.) I know thats why the Z is taking this long to come out.... Why don't we get something substantial in terms of news after all this time? The 2015 Nismo was a nice set up, but damn, an extra 20hp please at least?
No z info? at all?? Really??? Nothing to keep us excited? Check out my 2016 alpha camaro thread, i been posting info about this car for a while, all the news is substantial and creates tremendous buzz... Nissan has no buzz, no whisper, no nothing. I know the next Z will be great, but damn nissan. give us something other than infiniti concepts that make us guess possible Z attributes... Nissan is dumb in that way. |

Nissan has it's own test track in Japan which they could be quietly testing/developing these cars. A trip to the Nuburgring is not a necessity in developing a car. However if a test mule is spotted there this summer, a 17 vehicle could become a reality. |

I feel this is very possible. Based on Japan model years being literal rather than ours coming out in the year prior to what they are labeled. A 2017my car being shown as prototype 1 year prior to its release is about what I would expect. Well in this case I hope lol |
