Uh, the Infiniti G35, G37, and Q50 have always had the same engines as the Z cars. How would they be any less reliable than any of the Z cars?

The V6 TT is a Nissan motor. There is also a 2.0 Turbo 4cyl that Infiniti is using for the Q30 and Base model Q50 that is MB sourced engine. The QX30 is the twin of the Mercedes Benz GLA which is where the 2.0 turbo is sourced from.

That torque band would be dreamy on the current Z34, much less a revised and more efficient Z35 platform.

There's no way they can't make the Z35 perform right in the pack of the new GM Alpha-platformed cars, the new Mustang GT, or the current Caymans with the potential of this motor.
If the 2500LB GRIP Z chassis is coupified and sports car reinforced? It won't be 2,500lb anymore. Being that the Grip Z had an AWD in it at the weight. I see it possible the Z will be right under 3,000lbs and 400HP. Unstoppabl!! . Nissan may actually be giving us the car we want?

The muscle cars would once again play catch up... if they follow tradition like Mercedes and keep there sports cars with Hydraulic steering. I see the next Z winning awards and being the best Z since the early 70's.

Nissan, do it right! But we know like with the Z34, as when I fed the troll in the "iwantanicecar/jungle Z posts... Nissan brought groundbreaking technology and firsts in the Z. Looks like we'll be seeing this trend....

PRAYING FOR EXTREMELY LOW COG....

Dry sump lubrication anyone? Please Nissan, drop it like its hot!!! 50" ride height is the magic number.

the 4 banger is said that its a merc engine. Nissan teamed up with merc a while back on engine projects so does it really matter who makes it? its 400hp boosted engine for the Z I could care less what name is on the block lol

Did people just ignore the fact that the new v6tt engine is lighter than the vq37 its replacing? Seems to me that would fall in line with their goal of lighter weight for the next Z

The core structure of the 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine weighs 429.5 pounds (194.8 kg) – 39.1 pounds (14.1 kg) less than the engine it replaces. The new turbocharger and advanced intercooler (or CAC) system componentry adds just an extra 56.9 pounds (25.8 kg), for 486.3 pounds (220.6 kg) total.

429.5+39.1=468.6 for the 3.7 block for block im assuming.

a DCT? maybe? but that may cut into GT-R territory and at Nissan that's holy sacred ground.
