That's a fair point. After driving cars like the GTR and Porsches with the PDK, I have to admit that they're phenomenal transmissions and I wouldn't mind having a car with an trans that well sorted out at all.

Sometimes it's not about how fast the car is able to go, it's about driver connection with the car. Yes, my manual is slower than some automatics, but it doesn't matter because of the way it makes me feel to perfectly row gears while shooting through turns.

Your debate is NOT reflective of my statement. What I was trying to say that high horsepower cars shouldn't be manual because of the power level. It's a lot of power in these newer modern cars. I feel that if going a quarter mile in 11.98 seconds and you're driving on the street... It's not the safest thing in the world to have that much power on a manual transmission for daily use... Example: I wouldn't buy a manual Z06. But I'd get a manual camaro v6. In the case of the Z06. It's the intelligent street drivers choice to buy an automatic. Trust me shifting gears isn't your first priority when dealing with that much power at the limit. There's a lot going on without you having to play with a stick. The more engaging argument is moot at this power level when compared to road safety... If stick was the sports car transmission of choice? It would be in formula one cars. All being said... Telling me you hate me over an opinion is extremely childish. It's amazing how serious this debate got over personal opinion and observation.

I wonder how many of us will trade our 370z with the new 400+hp Z as soon as it hits stealerships floors. . I certainly will wait at least the first or second year production to ease out the bugs.

![]() I just don't like that Nissan made the new engine difficult to MOD.... Like what's the purpose of going turbo if modding it is going to be costly?

There is no new Z35 Confirmed, there is no twin turbo Z confirmed for a next generation car other than a most likely overpriced heavy Q60.
Honestly feel like this thread should be locked until Nissan themselves confirm they are working on a new next generation Z car with an estimated release date. Every article released is not confirmed by Nissan themselves and the information is so shaky. |

I plan to wait a year or 2 to see how tuneable and what's available for the q60 before I decide to get it or not. I figure by late 2017, there should be some stuff out.
