His post is as good as this YouTube video of a Z35 being tested on a track, proving it's go kart handling against the competition. :ughdance:

anyone else notice the Q60 has "available 400hp twin turbo" but no where can you configure anything over the 3.0L 300hp.

q60s isn't available yet

at this rate, the c7 z06 is a much better buy at 79k msrp. It's got monstrous 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque for a fraction more. Oh, if only weighs in a little over 3500 lbs. quarter mile in 10.9 for the auto and 11.2 for the 7 speed. You can't beat that SUPER-CAR performance for the price. The Z at the end of the day is still just a SPORTS-CAR.

Youll NEVER see a C7 Z06 for that price. Even at $100K its STILL a bargain. Albeit one that gets it *** handed to it by a GTR though but still...

Actually local dealer sent our cars and coffee group a message about a deal.

New 2016 Z06 3LZ manual for 79,999.

Well, Ill take two. LOL.

brucelidat 08-15-2016 01:21 PM

Why are we comparing the z06 to the q60 now? The q60 si going to be more GT and luxury and is going to be 20k less after spec-ing it out. Is the z06 a better performance bargain? Yes. They are different cars however and 20k is still a decent chunk of change. The Z will cost less than the q60 and be a better car to compare (though not in the same league) as the z06.

there are new Z06 being sold for 76k... there were a couple in atlanta lol

brucelidat 08-15-2016 01:27 PM

I am surprised the z06s are going so cheap. Are they not selling well? Is the overheating autos part of the reason?

RicerX 08-15-2016 02:10 PM

According to the attached report, the production of the C7 Z06 has been halted until the overheating fix is finalized. When production resumes, the new cars will have the fix already installed, but the article insinuates that owners of the previous version will have to pay for the fix via a retrofit.

2017 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 overheating fix on the way - Autoblog

This would make sense for the discounts on models currently sitting on lots.

And you guys bitched about hot oil since 2009...

Yes it is....I saw one in DC last week with temp tags. Black. It looked pretty nice...and I looked twice, said Q60S on it.

It's a corvette. They make a ton then the hype keeps the initial car price up then the hype dies and the price drops. Supply and demand.

wanderer1234 08-15-2016 08:43 PM

Lol. The internet nowadays hype everything up. The overheating issue affected less than 5% of the Z06 owners. Besides, Chevy came out and said if you wanna track your Z06, get the manual. Z06 is a bargain for super car performance. The GTR does not spank the Z06.

Ummmmm...they don't make a ton of Z06. They make a ton of Stingrays but not Z06. The reason why they make so many is because the Stingrays cost the same as the 370z Nismo and outperforms it by a mile.

Z06 hold its value well and will continue to do so.

b15 08-15-2016 08:57 PM

I can't wait to see what the q60 red sport does with bolt ons and a tune. Fingers crossed the 3.0tt responds like its bigger VR brother

Ok..... I am pretty sure the Stingray entry level is still $10,000-$15,000 above the price of a nismo 370z, and so are a lot of other cars. Who cares?

There's a REALISTIC $10,000 difference between a better and a Nismo. As true value of a Nismo tech is $44,000 out the door. Corvettes sell at $54,000 out the door at its cheapest configuration vs a loaded Z. Are you drunk?

Yup this is a Jungle Z post. You can buy two sport Z'S for the price of a Z06 and outfit both Z'S with intake headers, exhaust & get racing cams or a supercharger kit if you can do the build yourself.

Nobody here is feels the Z is superior to a vette. We are car enthusiasts here. Your comments are fvckin ridiculous and I seriously suggest you get back on your meds real soon jungle boy because I promise you. You will be banned again soon if you keep it up. No one needs you here.

So pop your Ritalin and get some act right.

wanderer1234 08-16-2016 09:46 PM

Lol. Man. So much hate on this thread. I own a 2015 Nismo 370Z by the way and I have no idea who jungle is. I'm a realist, sorry guys. Thinking about selling the Z to get a Z06 though. Man, forget the overheating issue because the Z also have heating issues too. At least the Z06 is track ready and won't catch on fire. :tiphat:

brucelidat 08-16-2016 09:52 PM

The z06 is a great car but who compares a 370z to it? They're not in the same league. Maybe e tt z35 will be in the league of a base c7 but who knows. No one said the Z is better than the vette, but you came in here, bashed the Z and talked about as if the vette and Z were competitors when they really aren't. A non-z06 vette is way more expensive than a 370z and still significantly more expensive than a Nismo. Plus the z is an older car so it's not going to be as fast as a newer more expensive car, come on. Don't compare them as a way to bash the Z. The has its faults but this is a stupid comparison.

wanderer1234 08-16-2016 09:56 PM

No. I didn't bash the Z. I love the Z! I just said maybe I'll buy a Z06 instead of waiting for the new Z. People took it the wrong way and bashed the Z06. Re-read the posts, you'll see.

You know why you're a ******* *****. Because who THINKS about trading a Z for a Z06? If you like it so much. You just jump into it. Cuz the two cars don't compete. Z competitor is a base Cayman. And it's not even a direct competitor because of the mid engine. It only compares in power. You want a Z06? Go buy one. God bless, enjoy n be the **** outta here jungle Z.

There's no realism based on your comparo. Because it's unrealistic to compare a car that bases @ $29,900 to a car that bases at 79,900.

There's no hate in this thread for the vette. We love the vette and respect it. We hate stupid posts from unknowledgeable people who are pretending to own a Z and trade for a Z06 and talk a lot of shyt that has no basis or foundation in the discussion.

Just so you know. While you're blowing corvettes and swallowing the jiz. Corvette Z06 owners filed a class action against GM Mr corvette knowledge.
