Guys at throtl built an incredibly good looking liberty walk Z:
dunno if link above works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZSIbhW9TME Gotta say I LOVE how it looks. Really brings back that old school flavor with the rear. |
goddamn that's hideous
|
I dig it. A bit over the top if it was my personal ride, but I do love that rear and the overfenders or whatever they’re called. Very 240z race car retro vibe
Good effort for sema. |
Looks like this kit isn't just hideous. It can actually look pretty great. Just every single car i've seen with it, until this video, has chosen the wrong colours or wrong stance. |
It looks so good, that after watching it for a while, you take a look at the stock car, and it seems incomplete, like they forgot to add fenders...
|
maybe I'm just old or something but putting these super deep dish wheels with fenders and an airkit - just kinda loses the look to me. While it might not be a popular opinion - I feel like if the stock car had more 'hips' similar to the 240z and that rear duckwing - that would look so great. It's almost like taking the video's concept and then the stock and trying to blend it in - while it might be considered 'playing it safe' - I just feel that would have been the route I would have liked to have seen. Making it subtle yet different.
I just feel like I have never understood the idea of slamming a car to the ground with an airkit and having such deep dish tires - again - might be an age thing or something but not my thing; but then again - do give ANY shops props for doing something different and unique. |
Finally saw the new Z. The design is new, but it is a bit underwhelmed. While the 370z is quite old, but I think it is more exciting if they were seen for the first time together.
|
Please don't take this wrong for the people who like the front end of the base and performance models, but just trying to be funny, I know that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder but have you considered getting a new eyeglass prescription? :-)
|
I recalled seeing $20K mark-ups when they first arrived in the stealerships. I don't keep track of the pricing, but out of curiosity, I did a search and found many discounted from $3 to $5k now for both auto and manual trans. On the other hand, there's still no inventory for the Supra even it is into its fourth year production.
It is so disappointing that Nissan screwed up the new Z. |
It seems that they screwed up the availability of the new model, got too greedy with the pricing (and forgot their roots of producing an affordable sports car), and did not do a good job of designing the front end (as evidenced by the NISMO and the special edition front ends to try to offer something nicer at a much higher price). Not that I feel real strong about it, but they can keep their crap.
|
Their biggest accomplishments are convincing people to ignore the 15 year old chassis and forgiving the lack of manual on the Nismo
|
and can't compete with the Supra even with a more "claimed" power.

Well. From 20k bump to $7500 drop. Just saw two 2024 Performance autos for $46,800.
|
What is the model of wheel for the Z Nismo?
|
I really wanted to like the new Z, but I just couldn't. The front is so bland, and for the 370z owners, the interior is so similar. The door panels and seats are almost the same.
I think the clutch hydraulic is the same problematic setup from the 370z as well. And its performance is also disappointing. Quote:
