Sounds like a plan!

I've been looking to see what they're going to do with the 2017 Z. It doesn't seem Nissan isn't saying anything. They usually post if there will be any changes this year. They usually even say if the Z will be unchanged too. That happens every April. Well it's the middle of May and they've said nothing at all.... hmmmm????

Tick64 05-18-2016 02:52 PM

Hooray if they stop as our cars will be that much more special. Plenty of model years will give us spare parts for many years to come :)

Wish that was the case but they have already made too many of them to be special IMO

370Z JT 05-18-2016 03:27 PM

when do the next MY typically go on sale? September?

The only thing we have going for our cars... is hydraulic steering. That's why I haven't given up on mine.

We've been outpaced and out gunned nursery other car except the toyobaru twins. And there next gen car is supposed to EXCEED there fans expectations.... YA HEARD NISSAN??? And toyobaru sales is as shirty as our sales so what's our excuse?

Move to Canada and they become more special. They didn't bring any Nismos up here until 2011 when they shipped aboot (see what I did there...) fifty of them to Canada. They didn't bring any more Nismos until 2015 and/or 2016 with the different front fascia etc.

Lots of perks to Canada. You can watch your dog run away for 2 days... No Trump...etc etc etc

/Angelo350Z/ 05-23-2016 02:18 PM

So when is this coupe going to be available? My wife really likes these BMW 3 and 4 series running around town and I'm trying to convince her to at least look at the Infiniti in person before we get newer family car. By family car I mean a fast coupe with a back seat for my imaginary friends.

I think the dog part is the only perk to Canada.

Go Trump!
Feel the Bern!! 😊

Typically, yes. Couple weeks ago the salesman at Nissan told me the new Z wouldn't be until next spring though. That way they aren't sitting in inventory over the winter.

Take that for what it's worth. He is in sales after all! :icon17:

So I'm guessing no 2017 Z34? June is the model year changeover month for standard models. August for Nismo cars. There are no announcements for this coming model year or any news about the Z35??? WTF???

NRTim 06-02-2016 06:12 PM

My guess is they're skipping a model year like they did with the Q60 and releasing a new Z model next year as a MY2018

UNKNOWN_370 06-03-2016 08:36 AM

I wish we'd at least get a sketch of a sketch!!!

Dirk McGurck 06-03-2016 09:14 AM

I personally would like at least one to two years to get my finances in order and my Z stocked and sold before buying a Z35, assuming it meets my spec desires.

Ghostvette 06-03-2016 09:49 AM

Since I've decided on my next car anyway, Nissan's reluctance to post information about a Z35 doesn't bother me. Porsche is redesigning the 911, Cayman and Boxster next year, so if the Cayman looks good and has the specs, I'm in. :twocents:

Just a facelift

njobe89 06-03-2016 02:14 PM

nissan is only hurting themselves by not announcing anything. at least acura said they weren't bringing back the rsx, these clowns can't say anything.

No, 2018 is a evolutionary redesign. It's the 992.

The 911 hasn't really changed in 50 years so what's the fuss about? Lol

If they keep slacking and don't give out any info soon they're going to be losing a lot of Z drivers. Honestly that being said they won't care. The Z sells maybe 10k a year tops so it's or ably not a massive concern to lose that many people. They probably sell 10k of a common car a month in one state alone

Dirk McGurck 06-03-2016 04:59 PM

I wouldn't mind a nice used Cayman S. I see the new I4T Cayman being out of my price range though.

jchammond 06-03-2016 08:10 PM

Don't know much about Porsche; but this one rolled out pretty good @ the wannagofast event in Clayton Ga.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...e8a7494da7.jpg

Yeah... I was kind of bummed to see that if the Q60 isn't coming out until 2017, then we're looking at 2018 for the Z35 at soonest.

Speaking of 2017, although it would need FI to really haul ass, has anyone taken a look at this sweet new iteration of the MX-5?

Now there's a "baby Z" :icon17:

I want to see one in red and also black... :yum:

V8 Hybrid AWD. Much like Nissan is thinking about doing with the GTR but with the V6TT, engine propelling the rear inline with a smell electric motor and two more electric motors running the front two wheels. I read somewhere they are tryin to perfect the "super track attack" mode that will launch the GTR 0-60 in 1.8seconds.

Haven't seen you in a while FP. I agree. Also, I'll be pissed if the next gen Z is EPAS. I'm praying they stay tried and true.

First year they sold a lil over 15k units.... then 10k, then 7k, then it hovered around 5k units a year. Many people's bought Z's in the first year traded out by the 3rd year. I think this new Z will be more competitive so I think we'll see closer to the 8 or 10k mark with about the 15/18k units the first year. That turbo engine is going to attract more buyers...

Yea I've been a bit absent lately due to actually having to work for a change lol

But I'm with you hoping that the turbo will bring back a lot of people who've traded the Z for better things. Numbers should be higher like you said.

Review of the 2016 Infiniti Q50 400HP Sports Sedan. Is this how the future Z35 is going to drive?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fM2OMA1pnh0

brucelidat 06-06-2016 01:04 PM

Yeah, reviews on it are not good, but I don't think the Z will drive like the q50.
