I have always thought there was a perfect color for each car.
Of course, rides like a Chevy Vega,Ford Pinto do not fit into this category. Having a difficult time with the PROTO. The yellow does look good. But,color on a car to me is that it will look good each day you go out and look at it.Yellow may get old fast. Really don't see dark colors that will do the best on the lines of the 400Z. A bright silver, the blue(I'm not a blue guy)shown on the PROTO does look good. Nobody does a green... So,I'm torn on the color. When I order my Z33,Silverstone with burnt orange leather was THE color. It still looks new to me. Suggestions? |

They have to have learned from the mistakes Toyota made with the Supra. Regardless of your opinion of the car (blah blah BMW blah blah), I think pricing it within 10k of the Corvette was their biggest folly. Granted, that only gets you the basiest of the base Corvette and you can't actually pay 60k for one for another year or so due to demand. But still. If you can afford a 50k car, why wouldn't you save just a little longer for a 60k one that punches waaaay above its weight class? Hence, Nissan need to price this thing competitively and provide more value at the same time. Chevy pulled that off, and here's Nissan's chance to do it too. I still believe that if Toyota doesn't reduce the Supra price or give it more bang for the buck, the Z and Vette will be the only two options and it'll die for another 20 years. All this to say, if this turns out how we predict and they fix that horrendous nose on the Z, I think a lot of us will find ourselves at dealers preordering. Time will tell whether all of our speculations are correct. But hot DAMN isn't it so fun watching it play out? |

I think if they had 3-4 color options for the calipers/stitching that would be perfect, let's say: yellow, red, black, grey? Those 4 colors can accent well with just about any exterior color. |

HIGHLY doubt Nissan will offer customizable colors on stitching/calipers. Very niche products (Porsche, BMW, Audi) offer these options albeit for lot of $$. On my Audi currently, if i wanted to change the interior stitching color when ordered I would have to pay upwards of $1100 per area i wanted changed (seats, dashboard, etc). Calipers were $2.5k. I could get them powdercoated for under $1k aftermarket. They'll stick with the Black/Red for calipers since its their Nismo/Racing heritage. I'd take the Orange or yellow anyday but its doubtful. :/ Can't wait for more details on the car.

Another up close look. Skip to 06:30
My overall opinion of the Z Proto has definitely changed. It looks much better than I originally perceived. I can say I like most of the new design besides the square grille. That is my only gripe, which I'm certain they'll change. Otherwise I think everything else looks good. |

I have watched a couple of the youTube videos, it looks better than there reveal.
But one of the videos, highlighted the front bumper area, if you see a picture of a 240z, it looks a bit like that, have to image the chrome bumper.. but I get it now... Still not a fan of it, will just have to wait to see where it ends up ...... maybe to go along with my 370z, maybe....

For something I never thought would ever happen, I think Nissan knocked this one out of the park. Credit were credit is due. Well done, sirs! Anybody want to buy a slightly used, slightly modified yellow 370z?

Feels like if Nissan just adds another inch or so to the top of the front bumper and does some esthetically pleasing / functional venting on the sides we might be golden boys and girls. Here’s to hoping. Also is anyone else thinking this thing is screaming for over fenders like this...
