I can’t watch anymore. I’m going to go watch paint dry.

Ummmmm. Can you buy the quarter panels, fenders, bumpers and hood and fit it to mine? Lol.
First impression, same chassis as the z34, 3.0 TT, and a mish mash of design cues from a variety of z generations. Redo the grill please. It is ugly. I get the need for cooling but a large rectangular cut out does not cut it. Keep the headlights and the hood, I like it, saved money on the door panels by using the same ones used on the z34's. Hope Nissan updates these doors. Rear looks fine. I get the paying homage to the 300z but would have like if they made it something more unique to the z35. Rear quarter panel does not have the hips flaunted by the z34. Didn't open the hatch so its probably the same inside. Car probably weighs north of 3300 lbs. Why no admission of using cues from the z34? Is this Z going to disrupt the segment? I don't know. Depends on how much more they put into it when it goes out. If I buy one of these at its current state, my wife will ask why did you not buy a Porsche instead. |

Nahhh … I'll keep my 370.

Geez, no information about the car....

Can we at least agree on this: the level of disappointment for some on the styling of the new Z doesn't equal the overall negative reaction of the sport car fans when the Supra was unveiled?
We are all going to be the harshest critics; but I don't envy the design chief and the rest of the folks there in Nissan's Z Team - it's an impossible task to deliver a car that hits everyone's subjective styling cues. |
I had to sit through an hour of that crap to not get the specs of the car :gtfo2:

Concur ^^^ - the unveiling event itself left a lot to be desired.
This was also virtual - there was so much more Nissan could have done to really set this live event off (kewl intro music, anyone?)... |

Yes, the unveiling was awkward and the hosts were..interesting to say the least. Did you all really expect #s and other relevant specs?? I certainly did not.
That being said...I'm SOLD! I love my 370Z Nismo in and out and this new Z is more of a refresh than a redesign which is perfect for me. This is all subjective, but I'm so glad to look forward to this. To me, the new Z is basically the current Z that pays respect to the older models yet has a modern touch. It's perfect! |
