It is on YouTube.
Again, pretty cheesy. IMO, not the kind on kick off info to excite real Z community.
You have a guy, they hired Paul Walker's bro (Cody I think) to add some fast&F vibe
as a everyday Z guy. He is stoked! Then a operations head from Nissan in snug tan jeans&boots , reading off a script. "turbo speed"? This guy drives a SUV.

Bottom line, keep your present Z. Make it your own.
You will be better for it and still have $ in the bank
There's no such car as a "400Z".

I'm sure we'll see you in 2 years posting about your new TT Z!

While that would be a laughable outcome, the preferable one would be if he would f**k off and let most of us that desire it have our fun.

Why did they have that guy present it? It was hard to watch, cheesy, and we know he's not a Z enthusiasts or his daughter bought a z lol.
It was too scripted.
Hes just a corporate dude. It just didn't work.

I'll be in my bunk!

No monotone white or blue or yellow? That sucks. I seriously dislike the whole black roof trend. Let the people who like black roofs get them wrapped or painted. Easy. The other way around is much much harder afterwards. Its a color sodomy right from the get go.

Seems like every piece of new info I get makes me less and less interested.

I guess time will tell.

EDIT / ADD: I basically HATE black wheels, and strongly dislike charcoal wheels. BUT that is a change readily available with many choices, money, and a trip to the tire shop. So for ME, I would instantly be swapping wheels on this car for color (also for wheels I like the shape of better, and to go wider with a better offset to fix the stock stance issue). My point is, that's pretty doable. BUT, if you like the roof the same color as the rest of your car (many many do), you are basically hosed here. It's going to be an expensive "take your car apart to do" imposition that will probably never match right. So in the end I think the 2 tone top is a bad "trendy" decision at Nissan.

Placing bets now. Solid colors will trump the 2 tone in the 2nd or 3rd year of production, just to bring sales up.

I'm personally not a fan of the black roof trend either. Black roofs and vehicles in general don't bode well in Arizona summers.

Same here. Zero chance I would get one with a black roof. Just not appealing for me perhaps unless I had 6-7 vehicles and I was changing it up.

How much of a temp difference is it with black roof and say a blue or red?
I'm curious?

If you go back and read my original post, I basically say the same thing. I bet that black roof thing changes quickly on year #2 once they get more feedback from people.

Black roof is relatively easy to ADD to a solid color car with a wrap. In comparison its very hard to take it away.

I think its a very poor decision at Nissan. Very poor.

The question is, how well this new Z will do in the coming yrs?
Will nissan do meager updates and get left behind by other car manufacturers?

The sad truth is, the next z if there is one will be some sort of a 4 banger hybrid.
If that happens let the Z die lol

I'll be in my bunk!

Exactly if all their going to give us for the next upgrade is electric they should just kill off the Z line and let it go out with some dignity. Unfortunately you know their going to electrify it to make it "modern". I love electric vehicles but some vehicles like the Z don't deserve that fate. The Z line always has been a driver's car adding electric, sensors, and probably some form of self driving just ruins it. But we probably won't have to worry since their lack of upgrades until 10 years are up will probably put it in the grave anyway.

Wow! The new Z hasn't even hit the streets yet, and you're already calling for the "next" Z to be killed off. How about we just enjoy this new model... you know, when it even available, and then just enjoy it for what it is. Who cares what happens in 5 or 10 years. LOL!

For a little perspective, the 2003 350Z started around $28,000 which is $41,500 today!

Edit: I just looked up the base was $26,370 and that's just over $39K.

X2. There’s some seriously negative muthrfvckers in here.

It’s a damn miracle there’s even a z35 at all considering that a sports car, esp a 2 seater, is a tough sell for any manufacturer and Nissan isn’t in exactly the best financial shape right now.

It’s not a hybrid, (yet); that alone is cause for celebration.

My only concern is the electric steering, even the best setups from Porsche etc still aren’t on par with a hydraulic rack and pinion setup. They’re getting much closer now but I doubt Nissan is gonna match a new 911 electric rack. (Here’s hoping tho).

Go check out the recent reviews of the new GR86, the consensus is that the 86 is finally the best manifestation of itself possible. Rave reviews about it's steering feel.

The GR86 uses EPS! Subaru and Nissan have been known to utilize the same vendors over the decades.......just sayin'
