Nissan is not going to spend truckloads of money on developing an all-new chassis when they are struggling now. Throw in the Q60 Red Sport motor with 400hp with a manual trans, update the interior and tech, and bingo! I love how it is clean and doesn't look like it was designed by a 12-year old like the Supra. The rear taillights are supposedly inspired by the 300ZX. Bravo! (I'm a former 300ZX owner and current 370Z owner). Will be made in Japan and likely less expensive than the BMW Supra.
Agree, a true JDM sports car and hopefully no bitch *** paddle shifters, please offer a manual..saving money as we speak Nissan.

If they've gotten this car right (and so far, it's headed in the right direction - we'll see if the execution is there), then I'll be ordering one.

Then hoping I pay it off in time to add an R34 when they become legal.

WHY NOT JUST HAVE ALL THE THINGS?!

Motortrend lightened an image and you can see more detail and sculpting on the sides.

I am thinking about this further and i wonder if the VR30 swaps done by Z1 and other shops, which i had some Nissan support were a testbed for whether the VR30 will work with the CD009.

IIRC, Z1 was successfully able to mate the engine to the transmission

This would make it easier to produce a manual version of the "Z35". Don't need to create a new transmission, just bolt in the old one. I haven't heard of anyone blowing up the even with turbo. Anything to shave development costs, right?

I know the 3.0T is rumored to be the engine, but im curious if Nissan will use that and what the z35 will be like price wise. Was one of the last "affordable" NA sports car. I don't mind the switch to boost as it's inevitable, however I wouldn't be able to forgive Nissan if they don't offer it in a manual.

They're a throwback to the 240Z. Which is a great thing.

Sexy curves are gone, including the arched fenders and rear quarter panel. Also with the relocation of the Z logo, the lighted fender turn signal is also gone

There have been a handful of broken input shafts on turbo'ed Z's.

All 600hp and up. Anyone know what the torque rating is on the manual?

Ill give my final judgement when I can see it at the dealership. The supra has grown on my when I initially disliked it quite a bit. Seeing the silhouette of that flat *** rear, I dont picture anything appealing. 5% concerned...I shall wait!
