I'll be nice to see some kind of initial concept just to throw something at the public and keep them (us) interested.

It's getting to the point where the horsepower almost doesn't matter.

The GT-R is sitting at 545HP with a 0-60 in the 2 second range. The new Z06 is at 650HP or so... with a 0-60 in the same range. The Hellcats are at 707HP with a 0-60... ... ... you guessed it! In the same range.

If the next gen Z comes along with a 0-60 in the mid to low 4s range and stays true to the Z brand and doesn't cost an arm, leg, left nut, and a 401k loan, then we're good to go. Lots of ways to make that happen - you can do 0-60 in the mid 4s with 300, 400, or 500HP depending on how it's packaged. The key is to get the right package for the right price.

aren't nuts going for lik3 40k? wasn't there the story about a guy who sold a nut for the money for a 370? lol

as long as I got a fake one to fill the void i'd probably give one up for money. maybe the right one. I've always been a fan of the left one.

Thats garbage... Another compilation from the misinformation rumor mill. All this speculation is so random i'm going to speculate now and see whose closer in a year? Them or me. lol

2.0T start price between $27,000-$29,000
3.0TT between $34,000-$36,000

2.0T- 276-306hp 0-60 in 5.0-5.5 seconds Quarter in under 13.5
3.0TT 400-430hp 0-60 in 4.0 to 4.5 seconds Quarter in under 12.5

2.0T weight between 2,900-3,000lbs
3.0TT weight between 3,100-3,200lbs

Traditional 3 pod set up with Analog Tach gauge and configurable digital speedo gauge and info gauge. Config digital gaugepods on the center console. with up to 9 digital gauge settings.

Center touchscreen stereo system/nav option $500-700

Targa or T roof may be a possibilty.
No 4 seat version.

Styling, futuristic, yet retro with strong styling cues from the 240Z and mild styling cues from MB GTS

Possible 480-500hp Nismo RS (The $60k Z) with DCT transmission from Benz? (Since they modeled there new 7AT's after ours??)

Base, Sport, Nismo and Nismo RS with a luxury leather package for about $4,000 and a $2,200 tech pkg that can go into the first 3 models.

Since z owners have to wait 9 years for a Z35? I'm thinking it's for a reason

It's kinda sad most of us that want the Z35 have to wait at least another year for it. I'm in need of a new car and might just settle with the 2016 model with the fake engine noise

It was probably $2100. but now that everything is touchscreen standard. Packaging has changed. Now you pay 2k for a tech pkg that would include adaptive cruise, park assist, blah blah blah and Nav acttivation averages $500-800 depeding on the car, screen size and how advanced the nav is. Your NAV is from the year of the flood buddy. lol

that's a good point.

my nav is very outdated especially in my area where a couple of the highways were renamed recently and i'm not paying $100 plus labor (some mechanic hitting the install button) to get it updated. the "labor" would be more than the update cost most likely.

damn 09 not having the discs

and my iphone 6 Bluetooth registers but the ipod cord for the music doesn't.

the more I think about it maybe I don't want the first year of the next Z lol

fun is still the same. I will certainly get nav in the next vehicle. love it even when it's semi out of date. just means it's time for a new car.

Navigation is usually such a rip off. Costs them a couple hundred bucks in parts and software maybe and they charge 2,000-5000 for nav/tech packages. Especially when XM is a subscription model to a third party and rear cameras are now required by law. Going forward, they should put MirrorLink and CarPlay functionality for anyone with a smartphone.

Something like the NISMO, at least, if not all of a sporty car like the Z, should have a GTR-style MFD giving performance metrics and trickling down that technology from the halo car.

I use my Note 4 with Google maps. And I do have the stock navigation in my Z.

I really wish Nissan would learn from GM - even their low-end cars have remote-start features along with being able to check all sort of info about your car straight from your phone, not to mention that you can send directions straight to your navi.

Meh, not a deal breaker but I do hope it will be in the next-gen version.
