I believe the percentage is the chances of them making an announcement of the model at the show.
|
for what is worth nissan already put out the line up for their exhibit at tokyo motor show. there was no mention of the Z.

yeah im just saying you would think like most manufacturers do they would atleast say something like an all new concept will be shown ect..... and then get the buzz going but not even a mention of it. there is a minor facelifted GTR( still R35) coming out any day now and I was 100% sure if would be shown at the Tokyo Motor Show as well but no mention of it either.
their big headliner seems to be a real world rolling shell concept of the 2020 Vision GT concept. its going to have a fleshed out interior working headlights and a new paint scheme. other than that there is the gripz again and little compact scion like vehicle. press release also mention 20 cars total but I took that to be the entire existing line up....so who knows. but with 2 weeks to go im not optimistic it sucks because the TMS is every 2 years and while its possible and even likely the Z might be shown for the first time outside of a Japanese show it just seems like a missed opportunity to at least have something there to keep the Z in everyone's mind. yeah I know right. my best connection moved over from Z and GTR to be one of the lead guys on the new titan truck. the new guys I interact with are super cool just toe the corporate line a bit more so its hard to get straight answers from them ;) |

sidenote I thought the 370 was debuted at the LA show? im hoping they keep the Z alive and update it soon. the C7 has been looking tempting and now the BMW M2 is so sexy and priced pretty decently. there's always my one and only love the GT-R if the financials line up lol I mean if the M@ with options is 65-70 and I can go get a 15 gt-r with very low miles for 75 its a no brainer lol just saying the longer Nissan waits the competition for the older growing 370 crowd's dollars is gonna go elsewhere it seems if not gone already. |
maybe they are just waiting for the Q60 coupe to be shown in production form and follow suite after that? i dunno
yeah LA auto show was it. so its not locked in to Tokyo its just there is a bit of a drought in Z land right now and if they had something ready and wanted to really push it the timing just seems right for Tokyo but that doesnt seem like the case. M2 looks like one of the most promising cars in a while and supposed to start low 50's. I would say that is in a different bracket and not apples to apples with the Z but then again weve all seen the window sticker on a NISMO Tech these days. so unfortunately is a tiny bit closer than one might think although the performance is on two different planets 75K 2015 GTRs are a reality as the market is in bad shape right now. I would look for a under 15K miles high 60's 2013 as it was the fastest year before they got softened up a bit |

I think the Q60 proto was sexy and if the 3.0 TT makes it in that and well at the Z I may just have to stick around lol OEM 400HP boosted Z?! of course i'll go with that.....as long as it looks good of course. |
I fear the Q60 coupe might be received how the Lexus RC was as sort of panned as looks the part but too soft and not up to german competition by any stretch of the imagination
speaking of the Q60 coupe this article speculates if it will make a surprise appearance at TMS . which would make the Z even less likely as im sure they want to stagger the debut of their two similar cars 【東京モーターショー15】市販前提も しくは市販直前と予想されるクルマ は!? - 【自動車パーツ・用品】ニュース - carview! - 自動車 |

I just wish we had even some slight hint at what the fate of the next Z was or when. |
Its odd that the Z hasnt had any decent changes since 2009. Only minor cosmetic changes here and there. Thats not good.
The gtr same. But at least it had a decent power boost but not too much of a change over the yrs. Nissan needs to hire new people or something 2 by 2...hands of blue |
Here's an article about the next Infiniti Q60:

The Q60 design is very nice. Leagues above what Nissan has been putting out lately. Clean flowy lines. In Forza 6 the car is 400hp and around 3650lbs.
Too heavy for a Z, but the motor seems promising if they share it. |

According to this article, the production model is "very very close" from the concept shown in the pictures. Also it states that it carries a "3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine". Hopefully this will carry over to the new Z. |

Throw the 3.0 TT in there, market it as the "Triumphant Return of the 300ZX!!!", then, try and shed 100 lbs or so. So long as it goes faster, has turbo, and looks and handles as well or better than the 370: win  |

At barely $30K for the base model, the current Z is already "the affordable sports car." |

I'm not putting down the Z, I'm obviously a fan. I just hope Nissan gets the Z35 right or I am going to jump ship. |

Now if we could just devise a way for the autonomous driving vehicles to autonomously pay for themselves.

I haven't heard nissan having a new 3.0L engine, i know they got that 1.5L LeMans turbo engine, if they put than in the next 240sx(or w/e they call it) i might think twice about that 3 banger. |

there is no Nissans 3.0L twin turbo, but this one comes the closest to it: = http://www.benzboost.com/content.php...b-ft-of-torque |

3.0L V6 turbo with 333hp and 354 lbs of torque at 26.1 of boost. :icon14: For a boosted motors. The HP numbers are low for gas. For a diesel. Think that would be about right. :icon17: But both are gas motors. Reading in the comments section. Everyone is surprised at the low HP numbers. |

If they have a chassis that is 2800-2900 lbs with that motor it will scoot. The thing that concerns me is the high amount of boost for a daily driver.
|
Why wont they just use the motor we already have and TT it?
