$60K for next new Z35?
^ I agree with most of the above, only I don't think the Sti is that ugly and you can still lease Evos without having to worry about resale. Those two and the Z are the only decent Japanese options in the US right now.
I do hope Honda, Toyota, Nissan and Mazda come up with some exciting fast sports cars. But I'm keeping my hopes low, the world seems to be going electric and it's all about MPG and HOV lanes - and weird funky design lines - now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
The problem with Toyota and Honda, if they ever come out with sporty cars, it will be a 4 crapper with some sort of hybrid

but yes I see the argument that either a 4banger or a v6 works if done with enough HP and correct vehicle weight. but lets be honest here. to keep the Z in the desired price range they aren't going to put it full of CF parts to drop weight. it's gonna have to be made faster through HP so a TT 3.0L V^ with 400HP seems sensible. I hope lol |
Also the sound of the car. The 4crappers sounds like a lawn mower. Weak.
Unless its a sti engine cause of the boxer style engine. 2 by 2...hands of blue |

The next Z is almost certainly to be a sportier version of the 2016 Q60. Doesn't that have a new 3.0 TT too -- or at least the concept?
Nissan talked a lot about a totally new platform, completely distinct from their Q model, but I predict they punt. |

When I was in Hawaii and played at the Kaneohe base golf course, I'd try to play a round in the morning. That afternoon I'd hit the scuba locker and go get the ones I hit into the ocean. :icon14: |
soooo back to the next Z......
anyone have hopes that Nissan will maybe leak a little info at the Tokyo auto show at the end of October? thoughts? |

then we can go back to bitching about 4 banger vs boosted V6 or style decisions and whatnot. :tiphat: |
Mazda is bringing a sports car concept to Tokyo. Let's hope Nissan follows suit.
Nissan does, however, have several global debuts scheduled for LA in November. So methinks it would be a good month to at least see some sort of HINT at wtf they're going to do here. |

With Honda and Mazda debuting sports cars of their own, Nissan def needs to follow suit |

Tokyo show 29 October to 9 November LA Show 20-29 November Either way... GIVE US SOMETHING!!!!!!!!! :excited: :excited: 2017 is when Porsche is releasing the redesigned 911, Cayman & Boxster. So if Nissan releases a new Z then, I'll have more decisions to make.... (first world problems).. |
Wonder if they gonna ride on with the 370, until the 50th Aniversary comes out in 2020?
they may take a couple years off-like they did before the 350 debuted,,,or try to throwback a concept car till then? who know's....Currently Lovin' my ~Z~ |

Every car manufactory is going either turbo or lighter these days. Bring back the TT V6!!!! with 420HP! (Hoping the decision making engineer from Nissan reads this) lol

The front bumper alone hides the "v-motion"-branded front, though they've tastefully subdued it. It's also got the "floating roof" touch to it a la Maxima and Murano. The rear quarter window is a sh!tshow. The wavy body lines from the Maxima/Rogue/Murano are there. The openings in the front bumper would facilitate cooling to a pair of intercoolers, but that could be a bit of a pipe dream for most of us - but the glimmer of hope is there. The overall front seems to facilitate better airflow, which would serve to alleviate many design criticisms for hot oil and hot brakes. I like the dark headlights (that were ripped from the 2016 Altima refresh moreso than the Maxima) and the Q50 Eau Rouge wheels are a nice touch to finish off the render. Two big shows this fall. We'll see if anything comes of this. |

I can add boost to the 2015 and with a good exhaust it'll be incredible. Case closed. |

Does that article suggest the Z35 concept will be shown at Tokyo motor show? "Motir Show Surprise"
|
Wish I could read Japanese - I would attempt a translation.
I imagine with the "motir show surprise" that perhaps we'll have these things soon. Though they could have meant "surprise buttsecks" and mistranslated. We won't know for another two whole weeks! |
whats wrong with surprise buttsecks?
