Please NO rear window wiper!

lol :iagree:
That orange rendering is odd. Front and rear of the car seem to be totally out of sync although the transition seems to work ok. I don't really like either end, but neither are they offensive to me. |
Looks like a 370 with 300 taillights. Still trying to figure out the front. :icon14:
|
That kind of reminds me of a 2015-ish Mustang

That render was trying to blend the 300Zx taillights onto the existing 370Z rear end, and it doesn't really work to have that squared off taillight section directly grafted onto the rounder 370Z hatch.

These renders are DUMB.
Nissan showed us what the car looks like. The general proportions. Window lines. It's all revealed in that teaser. The details are left out, but the shape is there. These renderings basically ignore all that. It makes no sense. |

The details may vary, but that's the basic shape. |
Like for example the mirrors look different in the teaser and CLEARLY there will not be a 350/370ish Z badge near the front fender (since it's shown in the 240 position).
Who knows what the front will really look like. |
Looking into past articles it seems like that render was made before the A-Z teaser and they are just re-using it.

I found a good one!...oh wait, its a 240 concept

It’s a head scratcher that so many people are still coming out with renders when Nissan has already shown what the car will look like.

The rear looks like frog butt...a nasty pinched frog butt. You can’t go from a voluptuous round rear to a frog butt...

The rear end looks like a modernized 240Z, which I believe is the goal.

all of these renders seem to be struggling reconciling the z34's very round, bulbous tailend with the sharper, angled silhouette
Nissan is going to really tighten up the rear end for it to flow correctly if they want sharper edges. Look at how the F-Type does it: https://the-drive-2.imgix.net/https%...xlib=js-1.4.1& The rear seems to be shorter than the Z34, much less over hang. Also, the slope of the rear hatch does not curve back up like the Z34 - it just comes to a more abrupt, defined end. The rear fender arch flows into it flawlessly, and the bumper follows those lines as well. The Z34 rear hump where the tailllights are located is probably the biggest flaw in the design, that whole area is just too much mass. I suspect they had to do it for cargo space, and also because the platform would be shared with the larger G37 coupe/sedan Fortunately, the official silhouette released by Nissan seems to do a much better job than these renders: https://cdn.motor1.com/images/mgl/2X...san-teaser.jpg Look at the rear hatch and the line is creates. That line (c-pillar) flows continuously to the very end of the car. It doesn't curve out and up like the 350 or 370z; it keeps flowing downward and then ends sharply. This angle shows the rear fender and c-pillar better: https://cdn.motor1.com/images/mgl/Pp...san-teaser.jpg Looks WAY more F-type than Z33/34 - a much shorter overhang, less rear mass in the rear arches. These are all good things, and hopefully the "Z34.5" will retain the same cavernous rear wheel wells that fit massive wheels easily. Really, the Z34's suspension is pretty good for this level of sports car. The biggest improvements will always be weight and adjustability. There's no reason why Nissan can't build in some sort of camber/caster/toe adjustment at both ends. Using aluminum arms would also help. Lighter parts + adjustable alignment are two easy fixes for the platform's biggest weaknesses |
Exactly. These renderings are basically completely ignoring the shape, proportions, and lines already revealed from these images.
It makes NO sense. If you want to speculate about the front or side, then use the images given as a reference. |
I cant believe some of you are posting these renders with official information out there.

The production model will be beautiful, but will it be as beautiful as the 370? I reckon the styling of the 370 will be very hard to beat - and time will prove this to be true. |

I know everyone is going crazy with the renderings, but to be fair the Nissan commercial left a lot to the imagination. It would be hilarious (not really) if Nissan did this just to buy some more time...looks like it would work considering all the speculation lol I always loved this color on the 350z too. With black or gunmetal wheels :yum: |
To me none of these pictures/renders give me the 'love at first sight' feeling I had when seeing the 350/370 viewed from one of the rear quarter panels (same camera angle as in my profile pic). The rear wheel wells look so cool.
