Cant wait to get one of these... seems promising.

I like this render
https://cdn.motor1.com/images/mgl/pp...-rendering.jpg It definitely gives me the vibes of a 370z with a body kit and new headlights and taillights |

I kinda like that render, sorta..... :ugh2:
|
problem with that render is i saw vents in the front bumper which i think will make it look even better.
also, those chrome roof strips gotta go lol dig the GTR wheels and brakes though  |

That chrome strip is the first thing to go if they don't offer a chrome delete package. Want to see if that back ends looks like an updated 300ZX back end, if it does it should look pretty nice.

Very Jag F type look.

it looks very much jaguar F-type, a little Aston Martin Vantage

If that's how the new Z looks, I like it. Now if they go with auto transmission, they should use the zf tranny
I'll be in my bunk! |

Many of the renderings are thicker/chunkier than the actual car shown by Nissan. Not a fan of that. Keep it lean and mean.

I don't know folks … the "most-realistic-to-production" drawings I've seen thus far look too much like my '17 with tweaks to the sheet metal.
I was really excited when I saw this version; and, I think this is what the Z needs for its next gen … https://i.imgur.com/2xlRafXl.jpg |
I actually feel like that one shouts Hot Wheels a little too much. I like the previous render. Looks very similar to the silhouette

Haven’t checked the forum for awhile and this is great news! Personally I like the Autoguide render the best as it pays homage to the original 240Z the best but with a modern vibe. If it comes with a stick and drives well, 2022 may be the year to part ways with my M2.

babyzilla, My M2 has been trouble/issue free so far (knock on wood). I follow the M2 forum on Bimmerpost and it looks like the original M2's have been very dependable with only few minor issues. The M2 Competition with the S55 (M3) engine which came out at the end of 2018 has slightly more issues, which included a few engine swap outs by BMW. However I believe those issues have been worked out, as I haven't seen anything on this for awhile.
I really enjoy mine. It's faster in every aspect vs the 370, is definitely more parctical and the vision is great. A few things I miss about the Z, hydraulic steering (M2 is really precise and very good for electric). Shifter as the gates feel better defined in the Z, plus the M2's feels a little rubbery and the height, length of the clutch pedal travel. The M2's one is really long and the top stop point is about an inch and a half above the brake pedal. I've put in a BMS clutch stop to shorten it but it still comes too high. However the pedal's weighting is good, it's light and excellent for DD duties plus it's the damn easiest 6mt I've ever driven! I plan to keep it at least 5 years before making a switch. I really hope the 400Z is a winner and makes it a hard decision for me to keep the M2 any longer :icon17: |

Personally I'm glad. I've been told the technical reason for the 350/370s having those door handles (and apparently it was technical, not for styling purposes), but I won't repeat what I've been told, because it's not important - what's important is they've got rid of them. |

amusing thought:
Nissan reuses the transmission keeps the plastic CSC third generation of failures still says no problem lol |
I think the smaller Aston/Jaguar-esque headlight route would be fitting. The original Z carried European inspiration and doing that in similar vein, as opposed to just reinterpreting the 240Z, would be more tasteful imo. Quite frankly, that makes a good looking car regardless of continental inspiration.
No offense to anyone though, but it's pretty annoying to see car sites try to pass some random illustrations just for clickbait. Some of these interpretations are just baseless or go a delirious path without any realistic engineering sense behind it...and then some people get overly invested in criticizing it or as if it's actually it. It'll be more exciting if/once we set test mules. MKV Supra forum was getting really close to the production model. |
I could be happy with almost any headlight if the CSC problem has been resolved.

Found this pic as well. The bottom was the render and I altered it to make it the top version a BIT CLOSER to how nissan would approach the actual ride height and such. Added bigger side mirrors, raised the car a few inches, cut the fenders so they didnt wrap around the tires.

are there any rumors as when to everything will be fully revealed? pics, specs, etc. if the z looks anything like the above pic im sold.

let us hope Nissan avoids all the fake vents

Plz I hope they have functional vents. I'll be in my bunk! |

It would be on another level when it comes to looks if your comparing it to the bmw supra. But as for type auto tranny, now that could be the **** part. Potentially I'll be in my bunk! |
