Nav will be much more. My nav option on my 2009 was 2k I think. Sticker is in the glovebox still ill check later

It's kinda sad most of us that want the Z35 have to wait at least another year for it. I'm in need of a new car and might just settle with the 2016 model with the fake engine noise :ugh2:

It was probably $2100. but now that everything is touchscreen standard. Packaging has changed. Now you pay 2k for a tech pkg that would include adaptive cruise, park assist, blah blah blah and Nav acttivation averages $500-800 depeding on the car, screen size and how advanced the nav is. my nav is very outdated especially in my area where a couple of the highways were renamed recently and i'm not paying $100 plus labor (some mechanic hitting the install button) to get it updated. the "labor" would be more than the update cost most likely.

and my iphone 6 Bluetooth registers but the ipod cord for the music doesn't.

Navigation is usually such a rip off. Costs them a couple hundred bucks in parts and software maybe and they charge 2,000-5000 for nav/tech packages. Especially when XM is a subscription model to a third party and rear cameras are now required by law. Going forward, they should put MirrorLink and CarPlay functionality for anyone with a smartphone.

Something like the NISMO, at least, if not all of a sporty car like the Z, should have a GTR-style MFD giving performance metrics and trickling down that technology from the halo car.

IDK, I got a 2014 and my nav isnt detecting roads that were done 2-3 years ago right in my neighborhood.

It doesn't "detect" anything. It's all stored on an HDD IIRC. Update is by DVD and IIRC you have to pay. If/when it's available.

I have had to use my Galaxy Note a couple times already to find the address. Inputting it seems to be a chore, especially by voice. My Eclipse AVN was much easier to input an address. Why do I have to tell it the State every time? Argh! lol

Lets see: spend 5 minutes putting in address into car, or 5 seconds on phone lol

Ahhh now see, i can send directions from my phone to my car, even when the car is off. Very convenient.

I use my Note 4 with Google maps. And I do have the stock navigation in my Z.

I really wish Nissan would learn from GM - even their low-end cars have remote-start features along with being able to check all sort of info about your car straight from your phone, not to mention that you can send directions straight to your navi.

Meh, not a deal breaker but I do hope it will be in the next-gen version.

I'm fairly certain they'll have this just to keep up if not exceed it.

I wish they can keep (or better) the interior quality compared to the 370z. Just went for a ride on my buddy's base 350z and no offense but, not a really quality interior at all.

At least my old 04 350z was touring and a tiny little better.

Yea I remember my 05 350Z 6 speed Touring, it was "ok" by those standards, nothing to shake a stick at, but I'm confident the Z35 will be sufficient, even in base form.

The front kinda reminds me of the Zenvo ST1. Definitely not a bad thing. It's sad that we have to wait nearly a decade for the next generation Z, if we even get one. I guess the new Camaro can grab my attention until we get some news from Nissan.

If Nissan released a Z with that front end...

With this new interior and new updates of the 2016 Camaro, Nissan engineers should really step it up with the upcoming Z35.

I cant find anything on the net on the new Z. I see that they're advertising the new 2016 Maxima, it looks sharp but the engine is nothing less than what they have had for years now.... Cosmetically it looks great!

I don't know about that concept Z I see above, its not as sharp as the 370 in my opinion.... I'm sure the interior will be nice, look at the huge difference between the 350 and 370 interior :tiphat:

Nothing new. Just speculation but even that has died down because Nissan is so tight lipped about the next Z. I think it's kind of a good thing they aren't saying anything. They don't want the competition to see how much better it is.. maybe? Or it could be a bad thing and they haven't come up with any solid ideas meaning more wait time for us.

There has not been one official statement saying there will not be a new Z. All the official statements say the next Z may lose its numerical nomenclature and just be called a Z. That it might be smaller, lighter, smaller displacement etc. etc. Nothing set in stone on these ideas. However not making a Z has not been mentioned at all.

The last statement by Nissan has been that the next Z is unknown, they have a few options they are looking at but not decision has been made to move forward on any or a new car.
Many asked about timeline and they were given the standard BS answer and that the next car decisions will determine when it is released. Basically, Nissan has no idea what they plan to do and at this point the Z might be shelved for a bit while they decide.

if the Z falls through i'm just moving on. maybe a C7 or something muscle-like. possibly even looking euro.

worst case scenario there's that new jeep hellcat that beats a GT-R to 60mph. make a quick trip to the golf course in that thing.
