Warranty
Does installing aftermarket stereo void warranty? Been trying to figure this out but no luck ;(
Thanks in advance for anyone that can answer this question :) |
if you have an electrical issue nissan may blame it on the aftermarket stereo, but that's like all the aftermarket parts nissan will blame the non nissan part so the answer is yes if it causes damage and they find tampering or badly installed components or abuse. maybe someone else can chime in and clarify..

So basically it won't void any of my other warranty unless it causes an electrical problem? unless proven that the issue is because of my stereo equipment than basically my warranty is still there
|
yes they only void the component that is at fault.

Oh alright thanks =)
I just barely got my Z, didn't know much about the warranty and had a the Z110BT installed was kind of paranoid about my warranty being voided Thanks again =) |
If the system is installed right and properly theer should be no electrical problems at all. That being said dealers and all do not like you taking the new cars system out and p0utting your own in. So if there is a problem with the starter "just saying" they might not pay for it because you put in the stereo. But I have told people to argue that the audio system will not effect anything the engine has to deal with and they have gotten whatever fixed for free. I know some dealers will look at how the wiring was done if it was done right than they are more likely to help you out.
