FWIW I had a recurring CEL as well (0300 IICR) and it turned out after 3 trips to the dealership that I had a hairline crack on one of my catalytic converters. This as after they replaced an o2 sensor and something else in attempt to fix the problem prior.

That's the problem with the P0300. Just about anything that triggers the knock sensor will trip it. A loud enough rattle at the right time, boom, CEL.

As much as I hate to tell you dude, the stock airbox will most likely fix the code and you'll be in for even more time wasted. I would look at the time you spent without the code as a positive as many people end up throwing the code constantly when they put on the intakes.

Hell, you may end up still getting the code and they may find some issue with the MAF or O2 sensors, but that's kind of unlikely imo.

I would definitely get them to pony up for the rental, as that's what they said they would do. Other than that, I would thank them for their time and patience.

best of luck op

Man, things like this make me second think buying a 370.
I've heard my local Nissan dealer is incompetent too.
I need to see if there are any better shops around here before getting into a nightmare like this.
IMO, I would be tempted to sue if you thought they intentionally held your car until after the warranty is up.
