weird clutch pedal thumping/rattling

I bought a used base 11 370z with 19,600 miles. I feel rattling and thumping on my clutch peddle when Clutch is disengaging and going to first, also when the clutch is half way up and still in neutral. it sounds like the motor is causing this feel. anyone else experience

I've tried searching but did not find much info about this...

The clutch assembly \ drivetrain on our cars is very noisy. Does the noise quit when you push the pedal all the way down, and return when you release the clutch (in neutral)? Is the noise accompanied by a mechanical feeling thru your foot, or are you hearing this only in those pedal positions?
I would check my clutch fluid, is is low, is it black? There are a lot of threads here about that sort of thing, I would search for clutch noise.
If your clutch fluid is filthy and black, I'd have the fluid flushed, there are guides here for that too. It's a good idea to keep your eye on the fluid level in your clutch to make sure it's clean, and that you aren't leaking - those are just general clutch care guidelines, not related to your issue.
