30 month maintenance ??

what do you guys think? I just got an email to bring it in for my 30 month ??
2011 z with 25k, always serviced at dealer every 3k miles (Oil changes), 4 wheel alignment at 19k, yearly inspections at dealership, etc.
Shouldn't everything they have on the list have been looked over at inspection 3 months, and 1k miles ago?? With the exception of the tire rotation, of course!!
Let the experts speak..........

Don't worry

If I took mine in for service every time I get one of those, I'd get 100 miles between oil changes!

my car will be 5yrs old next summer.

all i do is visual inspection engine bay, under carriage (drivetrain suspension), and oil change. sometimes add water to my battery. will do brake fluid next season. 14k miles. will swap cabin filter in 2015.

Have never brought any vehicle back to a dealershit for any type of work unless it was for warranty/recall. Most of the stuff on these "lists" are easy things you can do at home and are bloated with nonsense like $15 to lube the muffler bearings and top off fluids. Yea, tell them gas is a fluid and to top that off.

I will do all of the maintenance on all my vehicles, except the one thats under warranty. (the z). I got burned once by a dealer because I did previous maint., and they would not cover a major issue under warranty.
For that reason alone, I gladly pay the pittance they want to do it, that way the ball is in their court, so to speak, if trouble arises.
Yes, I could have fought it out with them, but thats not my style.
This way they change the diapers, its their fault if I get a rash.

my dealer experience has been, they cant fix the problem and redo the same shitty work until warranty is up and tell me to go f- myself. :shakes head:

I never knew that a date number would be the reason for maintenance :ugh2:
