Service Engine Soon Light at 900 Miles

So I'm out driving around in my 2013 touring 6MT when I get a solid "Service Engine Soon" light. I bought the car when it had 5 miles on it and now has 931 miles.

I always make sure to hear the click of the gas cap at the station so I'm pretty sure it wasn't that. The only thing I can think is maybe there are timed intervals where it comes on for regular service? I've had it about 3 months which is when the first service normally occurs according to the maintenance manual.

I don't drive it that often (hence only 931 miles in 3 months) and only for joy rides or short trips so I'm sort of leaning toward Schedule 1 mentioned in the maintenance manual. I've always gone off of the mileage as opposed to time since it makes more sense to me but maybe with this being brand new, I should take it in at the 3 month interval.

Pull to Codes..

The code has nothing to do with the maintenance schedule whatsoever. Take it to the dealer. You can also get the code pulled at the auto parts store beforehand, and take it to the dealer able to tell them exactly what the issue is.

Get the Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) (DTC) from the car and Google it (them). You can buy OBD scanners for as little as $10 online. $30-40 will get you a decent, simple one at most auto parts stores.
