Extended Warranty Service Contract ? Is it worth it on a CPO?

Hey guys,
My first post on here, my name is Nick, I am from Chicago, stuck in eastern NC for the time being.

So I had just purchased a cpo 2013 370z Nismo with only 2600 miles on it, for an awesome steal of a deal vs buying it brand new (imho) my out the door price is 36k.

So my question is, the dealer is trying to pin a $2600 charge on my invoice for Service Contract or extended warranty, explaining that it covers everything that CPO warranty does not cover.

Now in my understanding CPO warranty is good to go for 7 years of 100k miles whichever comes first, most failures that occur to nismos are things like steering lock, clutch master cylinder, main seal, should all be covered by CPO warranty.....So why would I want to spend extra $2600?

Please somebody tell me if I am missing something....

I have spent my whole life in sales and understand what add on sales are and have a feeling that this is exactly what it is, and has little to no value to me, please correct me if I am wrong
