According to the maintenance booklet, at 30k miles, "replace drive belts" is listed under optional premium upgrade, not in the "must-do" section. My car is due for an oil service.

Replace drive belts at 30k miles?
According to the maintenance booklet, at 30k miles, "replace drive belts" is listed under optional premium upgrade, not in the "must-do" section. My car is due for an oil service. I currently have 35k miles on it. I plan to change the transmission and differential oil anyway which I didn't do at 30k. Any suggestion for the drive belts? Do most you replace at 30k or 60k? Thanks.

Just had my 30ka little while ago and DID replace the drive belt. Only because I follow the premium serviceto the letter. Not needed but im desperately wanting no problems so hoping its worth it and I stay trouble free evenwith the mods.

I've always considered drive belts to be replace-as-needed items. A visual inspection will usually be enough for a go/no determination. You can find pics of good and bad belts on the Web.
But I seldom get very far from home and a broken belt is not a big deal. If you do a lot of traveling, you may want to be more proactive and replace when Nissan suggests.

I have run EVERY single car my family has owned to 100k+ without issues. I did on the 370 only because I installed a UD pulley Now, if I was in TX still, I'd be more inclined to check the belt regularly

The belt was 21 and charged 74 for the install. So 100 buck. If cash is tight I could see skipping it unless it looks like it needs replacing.

The maker and specs of the belt can tell you alot about the durability. That being said I use a 4 yr sched for drive, non timing belt replacement. I will replace the accessory drive belt and battery next spring. My car is a 2010 and that puts it right near 4 years for both.
