Serpentine Belt replacement

I have my 80K service yesterday and asked the dealer to investigate the source of massive belt squeal on engine start (lasted about 3-5 seconds before settling down).

Turns out the belt tensioner had cracked. Was replaced under my extended warranty and a replacement belt will be fitted once it arrives (on warehouse back-order).

Has this ever happened to any US-based owners ??
