So I'm curious. So many comments about Rev C and even Rev D being prone to failure, but from all the searching I did, I can only find actual member failures with Rev A&B. So why does everyone seem to believe Rev D (or C) is prone to failure when all the reports of lock up seem to be A or B.

I've got a 2nd Gen Rev C, so I'm curious.

There have been several reports of Rev C's failing. See the link in my sig for a list of all the ESCL/SLU-related posts I could find as of December of last year. There is also an list of failure reports I found, showing the revision where known.

My skepticism of the reliability of Rev D is based on the history of revs A-C. Maybe Nissan finally got it right but it appears to me to be a bad design. I think Nissan did the right thing when they deleted the ESCL from the Z.

I also see people reported fail on Rev D.
