OEM Side Skirt Question?

My 2012 Z was slightly damaged while unloading at the dealership.

The Side Skirts/ Rocker Molding was damaged on both sides in the same location.

I can see the damage if I stand on my head under each rocker; it's not really visible to those who are not looking for it.

What is visible is a silght dimple about mid way from the wheel opening and the hinge side of the door. Not sure if this was from the damage or is a feature of the plastic skirt.

I was wondering if any members could look at look at their cars to see if this dimple is normal? (maybe the clip below the plastic part creates this wave when the part is clicked on)

Again if you kneel in front of the front tire and look at the rocker, the imperfection is on the rocker about mid way past the wheel opening and the hinge side of the door. (about 6" past the front wheel opening)

Thanks in advance for any help.

Ryan

It's hard to photograph, but I think the distortion can be seen in this pic.

^same thing happened to me but the issue was a missing plastic screw/bolt to hold the side skirt from the bottom. I think our side skirt has like 7 or more plastic caps/bolts to hold it, someone here should be able to clarify that. But then again, the dealer should fix it if they damaged it during transport.

Yes you are correct about the clip making a crease towards the front...even my new s-tune sides have a little crease there where that front clip goes....
