I am very upset-no help from NISSSAN on Dealer Scam

My Nissan Dealer says they are not "authorized" to sell me either the Nissan factory extended warranty or maintenance contract. I guess they call it Security+Plus.
They (my dealer) only sell a product from some other third party I never heard of, I only want the Nissan plan.
I mailed in the postcard in my warranty book requesting information on the Nissan factory issued plans and never heard back.
I called Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261 and asked for information.
The "customer service" lady told me that she could not help me, that I had to get information from and buy it from my dealer.
When I told her my dealer won't sell me the product and have there own, she said there was nothing she could do because the dealers are independent.
This is on a brand new 2013 Z.
I guess I'll have to turn this over to my attorney.
What a scam.
How can they deny me the ability to buy their product?

It's not a "scam", the dealers are independent and don't have to sell that specific warranty. It would be like filing a lawsuit because they don't sell the GT-R. It doesn't make any sense for you to take legal action and will end up costing you a great deal more than a maintenace & extended warranty plan. You can however, go to another Nissan dealership and buy the Nissan Extended warranty there. My guess is that this particular dealership doesn't honor that particular extended warranty plan anyways, so why bother going there.

CMike, thank you for the advice.
But it is not a good sign about my dealer when they will not participate in the Nissan program.
I bought a lot of new cars over the last 30 years and never had a dealer who would not sell the factory program.

You can buy it online
Nissan Extended Warranty

Dealerships are not required to sell you extended warranties via Nissan I believe, they can sell what they want (usually what makes the most profit).
Calling your lawyer is a waste of time & money, if you are unhappy call of Nissan corp and file a complaint against the dealership. Next, call the next closet dealership and buy the warranty from them.

talk to FuszNissan here on the forum. I bet Lou could sell you one.

Exactly. Also, is this where we try to talk you out of the extended warranty?

OP, look up Santa Rosa Nissan Warranty!!!

They sell them at a loss in order to meet "milestones"

What is this "warranty" you speak of?

Thank you all for your help!
I found a deal on the Internet from a dealer in savannah,ga.
$1,626 for Nissan Security Plus Gold Preferred, 96 months, 100,000 miles,$100 deductable. Includes roadside service, etc.
Paid 10% down, and $81.30 a month for 18 months, zero interest.
I thought that was a pretty good deal.

Not bad... I'd see if you can change it to no deductible, it will be an extra $400, but worth it
