How much does your dealer charge to reprogram your key?

Sitting here in the waiting room of my dealer. Can't wait to hand them over $90 for a job that probably takes 5 minutes.

I think I overheard $150.

My buddy knows the trick to reprogram BMW keys by holding down one button while..... something. It would be nice if the Z's keys were the same.

Free, my dealer and service manager likes repeat customers,My 40th Anni Z is my 3rd new Nissan, and one of only 2 370s the dealship has sold ,the other was bone stock.

It takes 30 secs to program,I've had 2 keys done, one for my Titan and one for my Pathfinder, the keys and remote fobs are enough $ he figures.

My dealership service tech owns a 350Z , so when my Z comes into the shop it becomes the focal point for 30 minutes while he works on it.

Every salesman, service tech ,receptionist and a few customers always come have a look at my Z while its in for servicing.

They also knows I will probably buy the next gen Titan when it comes out in 2015.

Wow!
I'm pretty sure the link you sent me though would only work with simple unlock/lock fobs. Not our push to start gadgets :ughdance:

Has anyone tested this to confirm it works?

Also, will the vehicle start with new key after this procedure?
