Default Broken Lug Nut Question

So one of my wheel lug nut broke in half when I was taking my tire out. I went to Nissan and they said they do not cover it. If I have the Premier Coverage (bumper to bumper), shouldn't they cover it?

Did you break the lug or the lug nut? If it's the lug nut, you can get 'em at O'Reilly's for $8.

No warranty covers you breaking a part.

I recently took my car to Nissan to check a leaky tire and they cracked the wheel lock on one of them. They couldnt get the rim off and had to drill it out and replace the stud. They covered it, and then said they werent the correct locks for the car... I didnt put the locks on though, another dealership must have when purchasing...

Ya there is a thread on here about correct wheel locks and incorrect wheel locks and how the incorrect locks would snap under stress.

Its the lug nut. This is the first time I took the wheel off. It broke in half and the other half stuck in there.

What about if the wheel stud broke? Does that cover?

Is it the wheel locking lugs? They installed the ones meant for the 350z when I bought the car. Three of them shattered/split and were pretty much stuck. There's an actual TSB for it if you do a search. If you can figure out how to get the broken lug nut out, it's a pretty inexpensive part and I would just pay for the $5. The stud is a bit tricky. Its also and inexpensive part, but you need to take the rotor off to replace it...along with the caliper, etc...You might be able to get it covered if you complain enough, but it's a whole lot of trouble for something silly like a new lug nut.

Ya, it was actually the stud. I had them replace it and took off the labor charge.
