Pissed, Nissan dealer scratched the **** out of my wheels

So anyways, i have 40th wheels that i acquired from someone else on this forum.

I recently ran over a nail and needed to replace a tire. Went to a dealer out here in Southern California. Everything was cool until i got home.

As i was inspecting my wheel and new tires, i noticed a blob of scratches where the old weights use to be. The guy who did the mounting and balancing used some **** to scrape the weights off and scratched it to ****. It looks fkn horrible, cause it is completely white in this section. The paint was taken off.

What do you guys think i should do now? You think they would replace a wheel? Also is that even possible because its a 40th wheel....

Go back in person and tell them...
Don't take no for an answer.

This should be covered. Simply put, the car didn't go there that way, nor should it leave that way. You push hard enough and talk to high enough people, due to wanting to keep your service, they'll typically budge (unless it's something huge).

Go back to the dealer and show them the damage. Insist on replacement 40th wheels- they may have a 40th sitting around the lot. Tell them to swap it out and they can refinish your old wheels and throw them on their vehicle.

You should get the wheels back the way you gave it to them. IMO, they will offer to refinish the wheels at best- either take them up on this offer or go for the new set. Don't expect them to order a new set of 40ths, however.

Wow... they must of read this thread lol

So anyways, today i went back to the dealer and i approached the service manager in a very friendly manner.

At first, he wanted to just repaint the wheels and I was about to agree with it but i kept pushing him and saying I rather prefer an original wheel. It took awhile but he finally caved in and said they would replace it.

I held my composure, and gave him no attitude and he finally stepped up.

Made my day for sure. Its coming in thursday.

Great to hear- let us know how it turns out.

Same thing happened on my 370z sport rims took them to discount tire to get my ADVAN neovas on and they were using a screw driver to take the weights off scratching the crap out of my inside rims the throwing them face down. I was like WTF! I had taken pictures of the rims before I went in. So it was easy to show what they did. They coughed up the money for all of it. Hope they fired the DB that did it!

Its definitely a common practice which of course I dunno wouldn't bug me if it was basic vehicle etc but not a nice car. Good to hear you got it sorted!

I remember buying the roadster and the dude was just using the back portion as a "desk" to write **** on im like hey your scratching the paint gtfo lol

people don't really know it does harm etc hence their actions
