Modding before break in procedure done?
Did evyeroen wait to put on an exhaust or simple bolt ons?
I am just curious, will having mods hurt the break in, or does it not really matter if i am still following the rules. <4k rpm etc... |

Provided you follow a proper break in procedure, it doesn't really matter...
but then again, why add power-ups to a car you won't be thrashing right away? Also, if you plan to dyno, dyno after break in, get a baseline, and then go back to redyno after adding a mod you know exactly how much each mod added

Im not hardcore.. pretty simple guy. I wanted it for sound and she surprised me. I won't be modding much or running to the dyno any time soon. |

It depends on the mods. If you are going with test pipes/hfc's catback, then you should be fine just continue driving as such. Personally I waited a little bit so I can grow accustomed to the feel of the car stock (driveability, power curve, limits etc.) and then added mods. What's the point of additional power if I can't properly manage the car while stock.

Its not simply the power #'s its but you've listed two awd cars. Driving 300hp N/A rwd to the limit and 300hp f/i awd to the limit are very different.

You'll be fine OP! i had the same exhaust and Post MAF tubes installed the first week i took delivery, i had 40 miles on the odometer then 6.6 when i picked her up (no other exhaust would do for me). As a matter of fact, i have 500 miles on my girl now, 700 until i'm done with break in. Following break in isn't a problem with the Tanabe, 4K RPM is when she she starts to sound even more amazing, big difference from stock and you know the exhaust is breathing better.

I had my "bolt-on's" installed at PDI before I took delivery. No problems... No issues
