Default Warranty Help Please! Transmission

Hey Guys-

So I have a bit of a situation here... and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this.

I bought my car back in 2009.

I brought it back to the dealership because I was experiencing a loud clutch/transmission, and there was a slight grind going into 5th gear at a little higher rpms. This was at around 12k miles. The dealer told me nothing was wrong.

I was experiencing the same issue around 32k miles and was told the same thing. They sent me on my way and did nothing.

I am now at 55k miles and still experiencing the same issue but now it has gotten even worse. Horrible noises that I know dont sound right... It sounds like the throwout bearing is gone.. specially after a long drive, my clutch sounds like a tractor at idle. The car will only go into 5th if you put it in just the right place, and if I am on an upward incline at all the clutch has horrible shuttering.

I know I am outside of the warranty for the clutch, and companies dont usually replace these but I feel like Nissan gave me the run-around big time. I have been around cars long enough to know when something is wrong. I have had dual friction clutches in multiple cars and NONE have sounded or behaved like this.

Is there ANYTHING I can do? PLEASE HELP!!!

Do you have any work ourders outlining the previous complaints?

I had a similar situation with Honda. I had been complaining about the XM radio cuttin out and the dealership was never able to "verify" the problem (even though there was a TSB about it). After the car went out of warranty the radio got much worse. I was told that it's out of warranty and tough luck. Lucky me I had kept the records and called Honda corporate about it. They ended up replacing the radio.

Gather up your paperwork and go to Nissan corporate about it if the dealership won't help.

It definitely sounds like you have a problem... Maybe try a different Nissan dealer as I have heard a lot of stories where one dealer wont do a thing about it, and another will have the new tranny to them ASAP... Do a search and youll find tons of threads on this.

Try a different dealer. The service you receive can be night and day.
