Default Do i need to find a new dealer?

Last month my car got towed to the dealer for the dreaded sticky clutch problem. They check it out and replace the slave. took em like a week to fix it. On the way back less than a mile the car started showing the mushy clutch again. Took it back now this time the master. Asked for a loaner and they told me it only covers 5 days and I can't get a loaner while the part is being shipped in from japan?! and shipping eta is a week!! Fine I was on winter break and didn't really need a car. Got the car back last week. Clutch feels good everything is fine.
The day my school starts I drove to a store to grab something to eat before class and when I came back out to start the car it didn't respond... Got the dreaded steering lock crap with the blinking yellow key. Try some suggestion from the forum like unplugging the battery BAD IDEA. It messed up the window so it just keep going down and I had no way to fix it since I cant turn on the car Towed the car into the dealer. They checked it out and say the part is backorder and eta is around a month and loaner is only 5 days... WTF now I don't know who I should be mad at? The dealer or nissan. This is the first time in my life I've heard where a loaner doesn't cover till your car is fix. Heck GM gives out corvettes for people who are scare there car might catch on fire. Does Nissan really hate there customers that much. I guess if I had a gtr it would be different since they would recalled the freaking steering lock already !!!
end rant

Damn Dude!!! Yeah I try very hard to stay away from Nissan since the day they scratch one of my front rims and then denied the hole thing. I got mechanical breakdown on my insurance and it cover for all of that even a rental vehicle. Nissan is kind of douchey when it comes to warranty at least thats my experience with them. Sorry man, see if you can try another Nissan dealer. I would personally sue them and try to get something out of them, but thats just me.

Dude, That blows... I would definitely take her somewhere else for a 2nd opinion

Did you buy the car from this dealership? I had a similar problem where I was not happy with the level of service I received from my dealership. So I took it to another one for a 2nd look. They were able to explain what the 1st dealership did & where they went wrong...

Keep in mind many times that these service dept tech don't work on Z all day everyday..
Not to say they suck.. but most are better versed at servicing more common models.

That may also explain why they don't have the parts you need and/or took so long for a turn around.

I would definitely take a look at the other Nissan dealerships in your area. You should also push for some sort of good faith offering from you current dealership.

I was able to squeeze a years free oil changes, one new rear tire (I paid for the other) & no charge for balancing & installation of 4 new tires.

The bottom line is the dealerships service dept wants you to to return to them for all your service needs & future car purchases & referrals.. Thats where they really make most of there money.. not as much on the purchase of the 1st car.

It also wouldn't hurt to send a letter to corporate for some support (& for the record should anything else more serious were to happen)

yea I'm going to find another dealer once I get it back. The only reason I go there is because I bought the car from my friend and he goes there and they know his car. Anybody know any good nissan dealer around north jersey. Theres lynns which is like 5 minutes away from me but I heard alot of bad things about them. The dealer the cars at now is the one on route 23. Is there any dealers that part of this forum?

No bull, you just need to test out a few dealershits, I have a guy in Houston, knows what he's talking about, no bull when I go in... Dealershit in Dallas, this ******* said my aftermarket fogs were connected to the main harness which was messing with the "ohmage" of the wires which was throwing off my ABS light... They said they could fix it for $400!!! LOL I told him to f himself, called a guy at corporate that I know over the phone to tell him about my issue and he said it was a load of bull... Drove the car to Houston, looked at the wiring with that dealer, disconnected wire because the plug thingy broke!
