New Z owner - 9 day old Z, bad tranny...

Well everyone this is my first post. I joined the site when I bought my preowned Z, 09 7AT Touring with 30,xxx miles. Any how long story short, was going to work last night and noticed the trans slip really hard when trying to leave the stop light... Get home this morning to check it out and notice smoke coming from the hood, burnt tranny fluid. Also noticed tranny fluid has been spraying from under the car and saw my trail of fluid going down the road where I pulled into the driveway. This is really irritating since I've only owned the car 9 days. The previous owner was a women and the car is in really good shape, no kinda major service work or nothing, just basic maintenance records and a clean Car Fax... So after searching tranny failures and not really coming up with anything, I thought I would just post it and see what y'all thoughts on this were.

Oh and btw, I'm Ryan and live in southern Arkansas

my thoughts as a car salesman are...u got pwned :(
go demand your money back, if the issues are that bad that quick there's no telling what else is wrong with the car

Well I bought the car in Tulsa, Ok... about 8 hours away from here. It was a spur of the moment thing when I was visiting my parents after the Cotton Bowl (GO HOGS!) and got it for a very fair price. Which I'm not too upset about it, just irritated...I called the dealership, Jackie Cooper Nissan, told them what happened and they already sent a rollback to pick it and have it at my local dealership to get fixed... They said I will not owe a dime.. And apologized 1000 times.

But WFH.... Is this a common problem?

Sounds like you will get a brand new tranny under warranty. Doesn't sound like that bad of a deal.

7AT is a great transmission. I have it in my Z and it is rock solid at 33,000mi.

Yea everything I've read is very positive stuff so I can't imagine what happened... Dumb ol me was looking for the dip stick this morning to check the fluid level in the tranny... Yea, I'm used to Fords and Chevys :rofl2:

But I have a 7yr/100,000 warranty so it all should be covered. I hope...
