Paint Defects

Default Paint Defects

I have two paint defects on my Z. I took it to my local dealership and they called a rep to come check them out. He sent some pictures to Atlanta and I am waiting to hear back from him. The guy in the service department said they will more than likely just paint the two panels with the flaws. My question is since you cannot really match paint perfectly, can I ask/demand that they repaint my car?

They should be able to paint and blend in the panels to the rest of the car well enough that you don't see a significant difference. I would let them do it and see how it turns out first.

I am going to let them know if they are only going to paint the two panels that if I am not satisfied they will paint it again.

I have to have my bumpers and splash guards painted because of paint mismatch.

Only two weeks. I just figured it wouldn't be that hard to say ok that's our fault fix it.

Yeah might be a little bit longer than that, just give them a call if you havent already and see if they can give you a timeframe.

Only took my dealer a phone call for aproval to claim the paint issues under warranty. If it takes more than 2 weeks you should go to another dealer that has a better relationship with the regional manufacturer rep.

Sorry I forgot about this post. I went back to check up on them and they said they called me twice and I didn't answer :/. The good thing is when me and the detailing manager were going over my car we found imperfections on both rear fenders, hatch, roof, hood and front left fender. It's looking like they will paint the whole car....wonder if I can convince them that my car was supposed to be black?

they have taken great care of my dad with his GTR.. Guess you just have to spend 85 90k plus for them to give a sh!t
