Last LED on gas gauge won't light up when full

Strange issue on my Z. Fill the tank, and the last LED (furthest right) does not light up. It's intermittent, sometimes it does light, so the LED isn't burnt out.

Default Last LED on gas gauge won't light up when full

Strange issue on my Z.

Fill the tank, and the last LED (furthest right) does not light up.

It's intermittent, sometimes it does light, so the LED isn't burnt out.

On one fill up, even the next LED over failed to register a full tank.

This has been going on for about 2 months now. No changes to the car, same gas, even same gas station by my house.

What should the dealer be looking at when I finally have time to bring it in for service?

Some folks have had senders replaced. In our Z, when I manually top fuel off, the top light consistently will be on. If I allow auto shut off from most pumps, it will be 1 short at least half of the time.

I've had the senders (there are two of them) replaced on my '09. My problem at that time was worse - the last 3 lights wouldn't light up and the gauge wouldn't accurately reflect the amount of gas in the tank. And that issue started just like yours.

Since having the senders replaced, I went 6 months or so, and now the last light has started acting up again. Not consistently, but every now and then.

Oh well, I have until May before my 3 year warranty is up...

OP, 99% sure it's the FSU (fuel sending unit) nissan is notorious for placing crappy fsu's in their vehicles, our old '10 xterra had to have it's fsu replaced twice for the same issue you're seeing.
