CPO 370z Roadster "WRAP" coverage question
I'm trying to buy a 2010 roadster from a Nissan dealer that's 800 miles away and over the phone he has agreed to included the "WRAP" coverage mentioned on this page:
Nissan Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles | Nissan USA "Optional Security+Plus® Pre-Owned Preferred contract provides additional coverage that “wraps” around the Certified Limited Warranty. A total of 1,448 components are covered including: Engine, Transmission, Drive Axle, Steering, Suspension, Electrical, Brakes, Air Conditioner/Heater, Body, Interior, and OEM Audio/Visual. Terms of 84 months and 100,000 miles. Ask your Sales Consultant about this beneficial option." The problem is that there is no real info other than the above and he sent me a list of the components covered, but what should I be asking about? This doesn't seem to match the link on this forum regarding the "GOLD PLUS" type warranties I've seen. Can anyone clear this up for me? Thanks. |

I wouldn't worry too much about it. You'll still have the original powertrain warranty for another three years and the original bumper to bumper for another year.

Thanks, but since they are not lowering the price too much I'm getting them to throw in a free extended warranty and want the best one they offer. They seem to be a little coy about it though so I want to make sure I'm getting the top one.

IMO, You are better off haggling for a better price rather than accepting some overpriced optional additional warranty as part of the deal.
You probably know this, but make sure and do some research to find out what others are paying for a '10 with that mileage, condition, etc. How much above or below blue book are they selling the car for. That sort of thing.
