OEM wiper blades

I need to replace them. Should I buy the whole unit for $12 or get the refill for $5. Anyone know if it is easy to pop the rubber off.

Buy Rain-X Lat. Wipers. Way better than OEM.

+1 The OEM was worthless from day one - left streaks on the window.

(breaks out singing) I can see clearly now that the rain is gone...

Or, there was no oil on my glass and the streaks were due to the worthless OEM wiper blades. Since I didn't clean the glass and the Bosch leave no streaks, I'm going with the lower quality OEM blades causing the streaks...

Size of windshield wipers?

You need 21" for the driver side and 19" for the passenger side.

They're excellent wipers and last pretty long time too.

bought refills from the dealer, pretty easy to slide out old and slide in new. The end rubber flips up so you can slide the blades in and out.

Avoid Bosch Steel Tech wiper blades for the Z. Once installed the frame wedges under the base of the wiper arm, preventing the wiper from lying flat.

This is what I get for purchasing cheap wiper blades. Going with the Rain X Latitude.

Another wiper blade to avoid are the Rain-X Fusions. They have the same problem as the Bosch steel wipers. They pinch under the wiper arm, refusing to lay flat.

okay, so i learned this the hard way of buying the wrong ones and then having to make a second trip back to walmart and exchange.

rain-x has different types of wipers. the ones i bought originally were the "conventional" wipers, which had the issue of not laying flat on the glass pointing towards the passenger side, and also the top of the wiper kept hitting the wiper arm. i thought i was doing something wrong, as it has never taken me 45 minutes to replace wipers.

turns out, if you decide to go with rain-x, get the latitude ones, as they aren't tall enough to touch the wiper arm and the form of it will lay flat (the wiper blade adjusts to the shape of the windshield).

just use oem refills. oem is best, imho.

I have found that on most every car I have owned oem is best. I must have bought every kind of blade for a Honda I owned and they all sucked. Bought the oem and worked perfectly. Same with my BMW.
