rain-x has different types of wipers. the ones i bought originally were the "conventional" wipers, which had the issue of not laying flat on the glass pointing towards the passenger side, and also the top of the wiper kept hitting the wiper arm. i thought i was doing something wrong, as it has never taken me 45 minutes to replace wipers. turns out, if you decide to go with rain-x, get the latitude ones, as they aren't tall enough to touch the wiper arm and the form of it will lay flat (the wiper blade adjusts to the shape of the windshield).

Bosch Icon. They are a bit on the higher price (20-24) each side but great wipers. Thick but bendy and contours windshield nicely. Last for a long time depending on your climate.

I just realized I wasted 1/2 hour reading a 5 year old thread about wiper blades... WTF. I'm going to get some sleep.

yah, i installed the piaa's yesterday on my G, and while they look factory not a full coverage (wipe) on the passenger side due to glass curvature.. but this was kinda expected... might just get an inch shorter blade version for dat side.

Hey I tried that PIAA blades on my G this pm in the rain. It wasn't bad the coverage is pretty close to factory at the far edge. But if there are oem refills available for ur ride, don't bother with these.

another thing on the PIAA's. it comes with this little packet they tell u to apply on the glass prior to use. instead of that crap, i would use rain-x.
reason being, their crap might allow the blades to operate smoothly, it does NOT bead and run off any water even at 45mph. not good. |
