Random car hesitiation under 4000RPM

Among other things, my car's been getting random hesitation below 4000RPM. It is mostly in the 2000-25000 range where the car would cut in and out, almost like fuel cut.

I have filled up the tank, but the car is still doing that. If anything, it is getting worse. Car is an 09 with 12K miles, stock. No check engine light, so cant bring it to Nissan to get it fixed as they are idiots.

I've said this in other threads and so far its not been right for anyone, but I had an issue with my air filters being dirty. This was at about 12k miles as well. I pulled them and wiped them off with some paper towel and it seemed to fix the problem. I replaced the stock intake with injen's a few hundred miles later and the issue has yet to reappear.

Did you get a major hick up or just a minor one? My Yorkie was thrown onto the floor when the car started bucking in 1st gear.

no more minor. It was more of a stutter at low rpm and on startup.

You think this might have something to do with my phantom hesitation?

‪370z problems, tank rattles?‬‏ - YouTube

The noise is not from my trunk, it's behind my seat in the gas tank area.....

Sounds like you need more revs.
