The local dealership scheduled me in on the Memorial Day holiday to install a replacement torque converter in my 2010 Z. While driving out of my neighborhood (25 MPH speed limit) and other times when it was cold the car would lurch when shifting. When driving it in a more "spirited" manner, the problem wasn't as bad. It honestly felt like the converter was locking up prematurely.
Evidently, changing the converter fixed the issue, as the car drives 100% better now. I would have been perfectly content with the service visit had I not had to reset the windows and the clock myself when I got the car home. The tech at the dealership told me that he knew of Infiniti vehicles that had converter issues but not a Z, it surprised me that he didn't know to reset the clock and windows... |
