Really? I just put 100% 3 full quarts ending with a 50mL syringe to get every last drop and putting my finger in the hole I feel nothing yet! As others have said 3-4 should be what it is. No idea how you're getting away with 2 unless you put the drain plug back in as soon as you take it off. Sucks cause now the stores closed.

We've had great success with the Motul Gear 300. It is a great fully synthetic fluid that is smooth as butter as well as protects the trans.

The 6MT must use almost exactly 3 qts. I spilled a small amount and was not able to fill it up until it was running from the fill hole.

I've done my trans 2x now and it takes 3.5 around there of. 3 qts is way too low. the rear diff takes 2 on the money.

I agree with roy'sz. I did my 6MT and diff about a month ago and the trans used 3 1/2 1qt bottles. The diff used 2 1qt bottles.

They should revise the DIY: http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...il-change.html

The rear diff only used about 1-3/4 qt when I did mine.

That depends on the levelness of the z. Even if you have it on jackstands, the diff is still lower than when you drive it. What I did was jack it up on jackstands until level..but kept most pressure on the diff instead of letting it hang. And that is the differnce of the half qt.

When is this service actually supposed to be done? Isn’t it like a 50k mile service? I bought my car a year ago with 70k miles and as far as I know it had never been done. The diff fluid had been changed though according to the service records. I’m actually at my local dealer having the tranny fluid being changed as I type. It took me a long time and a bit of a hassle for them to actually give me a price for this service though. Legit it took me 3 times of asking about the service before I finally complained about it on a “how was your experience with us” survey and once I did that, they jumped into action and gave me a 20% discount on it. Their price is $150. Which yeah, is a bit nuts considering how easy it is. They charge like $45 for a full synthetic oil change (which is damn good, especially for a dealer) but then turn around and charge triple for a manual transmission fluid change. And yeah, it’s even more for an auto, so don’t think they’re just charging me the same as an auto “transmission flush”.

Its literally two bolts you unscrew buy a pump and fill it back up. Worse case scenario it takes you 30 mins to finish the job.
